If you are reading this, then this game might not be for you. It's a special beast. I love it. It's complicated, it's out to kill you. Everything requires about 60% more effort then you would expect.

But then when you do get things done it is so rewarding.

One of my more fun experiences was when I was out mining, turned around to my base, and noticed all the stuff blowing out of it. Yes, I was filling it with oxygen, too much oxygen. You'll need to watch gas compositions, temperatures, pressures. Build airlocks out of smaller parts. Setup filtration systems. Yes your plants will die for 5 different reasons.

If you like kerbal space program, you'll likely like this. If you think factorio is easy, you'll likely like this. If minecraft is complex enough for you, you won't like this.

I really really wish to recommend this game. As it's decent. It's not shovel knight good. But it's decent, until you get to the motor bike section and have flashbacks to the battle toads speeder section. Then you throw your controller trough your TV, get your wife angry for breaking the TV while she was watching reruns of friends and remember that you where playing on your laptop.

First 70% is decently good, death is sometimes swift, but respawn is almost instant so you can keep going at it, until that section it is.

Hidden gem. It's a bit rough around the edges sometimes, but it's great fun.

Dead game, good concept. Sad people.

This game looks simple on the first glance. But there is a really cool combination of mechanics happening.
First off, every time you reach an ending, the game resets.
Secondly, the more items you collect, the lower you jump. Making which items you pickup important choices, as you open up some areas, but close off others.
Finally, while the game resets, some things you do carry over as effect. Generally subtitle to notice in the beginning. Giving more replay value then you initially would guess. Saying too much about this would ruin the fun, so find out for yourself.

I got about 9 hours of gameplay out of it for all 100 endings. Which is perfect value for money in my book.

Oops, and suddenly you have 30 hours into this game.

Is it perfect? No. Is it a good? Yes. If you like these kind of games. Did you like desktop dungeons? Buy this right now. As you will love it.

Do note, it takes a tiny bit to get into this game. At first it seems a bit dull and random, until you discover that you actually could have saved yourself a lot more times then you thought. Quite a few weapons require out-of-the-box thinking to be used to maximum effectiveness.

After 5 hours. I can say, I do not recommend Convoy. Overal, it tries pretty hard to be a new twist on FTL.
At which it is succesful in some areas. Which gives it a nice spin of a more open world game instead of a "run for your life" that is FTL.

The main problem with Convoy is that you will die. But not because of your own choices. More because of the lack of choice. You can upgrade your weapons, you can upgrade your vehicles.
But weapon wise, ever new weapon you will find is a upgrade or not. Not really a choice.
Upgrading your vehicles is a must. And there is a little bit of choice here. Except that it's the only meaningful way to spend your money really.

The random events are pretty much the same as in FTL, meaning you don't really know what is the best option unless you've seen the same event multiple times.

But the combat is where is goes down for me. It boring. You have a bunch of vehicles driving, and shooting at each other. You move them around a bit. But there isn't the trill of choice here. You manage the position of your vehicles, their targets and fire your MCV weapons.

And then, your MCV dies and you lose. Doesn't matter what other support vehicles you have. The group of enemies you randomly encountered decided to only target your MVC.
Managed to survive? Good, but your MCV suffered heavy damage, and the nearest spot you can repair is half a map away. Doesn't matter you have the funds to repair, as you cannot repair.

Final judgement:
* Don't buy if you expect something like FTL, as it does not live up to that game.
* Buy if you want something different for a change then FTL, and Convoy is below $5

Singing shopkeeper. That's all you need to know.

Also, that it's a good mixup between a rithym game and a roguelike.

10/10 would necrodance again.

Got it in the humble bundle. While I like the gfx, the gameplay idea, and most of it. The horrible hit detection and random feeling behind the "devine punchment" ruin it.

Fun for an hour or so. Don't expect too much from it. Got it as part of the humble bundle, so not dissapointed, not sure if I think it's worth 4 euros. But with the 1 euro I payed for it.
