There are so many unique game design decisions in this game, it constantly keeps you surprised with its story and completely out of the blue new mechanics. I've never played or seen a story anything like it, there are funny, sad, and downright eerie moments and interactions with this card game lol. Must play even if you dislike card games. Maybe this one hooks you because of how simple but still engaging it gets as you progress the game.
