back when i was dating my ex, she really liked the song Creep by Radiohead. i made a joke about me jacking off in the corner, screaming "i wish i was special". she had been going through something so she got pissed and didn't read my texts for the rest of the night. i played this for a little bit to chill out.

fun for a few hours, with the plenty of animals to hunt. in this game, crafting materials are the only currency i.e copper, ethanol, titanium, etc. it gives you more incentive to make sure you loot every enemy on the battlefield. shooting enemies reveals a number on screen noting how much damage your shot does (like borderlands)
the takedowns are pretty satisfying too.

thats about it though. it's really a "you good guy, kill bad guy" game. far cry 5 had a damn good introduction to eden's gate, drawing you in to who "the father" really was. you saw him as not just an enemy, but a force that controlled these "peggies". in new dawn however, its just a couple women controlling a cliche, overglorified biker gang.

not to mention the amount of bugs. cougars that appeared "friendly" that stood still, unmoving. despawning entities (even animals!) from a long enough distance. leaving an ethanol truck to quickly take over an outpost, then coming back to find out the truck despawned and isn't there anymore. i need my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ETHANOL, ubisoft!

i'd get this on a heavy discount, more than half off. looting and hunting is some mindless fun, but don't expect anything super solid.
