I wish I was joking when I say that my 11 hours of playtime were spent on installing the updates just to find out my PC can't run this game

Had high hopes for this game and was really looking forward to playing. However, like everyone else has said, the playerbase is severely lacking in population. I definitely recommend having a friend group to play this with or you will spend hours in lobby waiting for people to join.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to experience the game yet as it seems the game has died since it's initial release. But I am hoping that this game will attract a community with it being on sale during the summer Steam sale. Traitors in Salem does look like a good game overall, but I think only time will tell whether this game and it's community will flourish or not.

this game initially seemed very charming and cute, the artstyle being what especially piqued my interest. i've played a few bartending theme visual novels in the past which i have quite enjoyed, another reason why i purchased this game. however, as a woman playing this game, i find a lot of the jokes offensive and flat-out not funny. there's a theme of very crude sexual humor that follows along the storyline, and it's borderline disrespectful to women in my opinion.

yes, this game is decent. but i unfortunately do not think i am a part of the targetted demographic and this game seems to appeal the masculine audience if you will. the storyline is alright, although it didn't seem to fully grab my attention and honestly i wish i could refund this game.

VA-11 Hall-A's atmosphere is very relaxing, and i was especially able to get immersed into this game playing stoned. this is a perfect "chill-out" type of game, it's calming and you can turn off your mind while playing. however if you're sensitive to crude humor such as myself then i do not recommend this game. this is definitely not a game for you if you prefer action packed games that keep you on your toes.

by far the best game in the sims franchise in terms of visuals, however, base gameplay is severely lacking. the sims 4 feels like a step down to it's predecessors and is absolutely a cashgrab. $900 for all the dlc? screw you ea. you can also tell that the targetted demographic has shifted by comparing the sims 2 and sims 4 trailers (worth your while, i recommend you do it).

definitely play sims 3 if you are looking for gameplay, you won't find as much content in this game compared to the sims 3. the sims 4 is definitely more of a building game, whether it be designing houses or building sims. the gameplay is lacking in this game and a lot of features that were in sims 2 and 3 are missing from this game unfortunately. it seems the main focus in this game was simply visuals,

you can only play the base game for so long before getting bored and modding the hell out of it. dlcs are not worth it in my opinion. $40 for cats and dogs? ♥♥♥♥ you ea. i hope that this is not the beginning of the sim franchise's downfall as the sims was a massive part of my childhood and i'd hate to see 22 years of this franchise go down the drain thanks to the hands of ea.

overall, i do and don't recommend this game. the sims to me has been a big part of my childhood but unfortunately i will not continue to follow the franchise if it continues in the directive that ea has taken it now. it's definitely lacking and it seems the devs are busy milking as much money out of it as they can opposed to making a new addition to the franchise. there are still many bugs and many features that cost money that should be a part of this game for free, such as seasons or holidays. don't buy this game or dlc full price, it's absolutely not worth it.

every game is different than the last, although there's a reoccurring theme of repetitiveness to this game. some games are more toxic than others, some people will give you a win for free. it all comes down to the people you're teamed up with in your match.

certain gamemodes are much more difficult to get into a match, (such as ranked or coven) unfortunately due to the fact that the playerbase isn't as large as it used to be during the game's inital launch. coven is my favourite gamemode but unfortunately isn't very popular anymore.

however, there is definitely something "missing" to this game. perhaps it's the fact that there is no ability to roam around the map, making the game completely communication based. hopefully this issue doesn't exist in the new game about to be released later this week, "traitors in salem." i have high hopes for this sequel and i think it'll be even better than this little gem BlankMediaGames has created for us.

overall, i think this game is amazing for it's pricepoint. could it be better? yes, certainly, but that's to be expected of a game as old as this. however i hope to see improvement in traitors of salem and am eager to it's release.
