Update after 3166h into this game. I still love it. The game is getting really complex now, therefor newbies should catch a build from the community and watch some streams with PoE-101 (Zizaran does quite good there). Graphic are constantly improving, every update brings something new. It's quite amazing to see, that those devs get new ideas, even after all those updates. And it never gets boring. Looking forward to PoE2 in 2022 *-*

So it is still a total yes for me!

After playing nearly 750h on this game, i can totally recommend this game. There is absolutely no sign of pay2win, you can just grab microtransactions like cosmetics or some nicer, better and more organized stash-room for your items.
But in my opinion you can safely spend some money on stash, if you are playing this game for hours without investing money, just for the support of this game!

It's a really solid hack n' slay, with a very complicated but satisfying tech-tree you have to get into. But that's the point, why this game binds you for hours. you can experiment with your builds, try new builds, and always try to get further and learn new things. Necromancer with tons of minions, killing mobs while using your life as mana, weaken you enemies with more then 5 curses. You can try everything FOR FREE!

It's just a bit hard to understand sometimes, what some effects really do, especially if you're not a native speaking guy. But the're is nothing, you can't solve by using google, the poe-wiki or just trying! THUMBS UP!
