Grapplers is an exceptional party brawler. Great level design with heavy environment & trap focus. Grapple as both movement and attack makes for an interesting challenge.

It's awesome couch fun but more players = more fun so could really benefit from AI or online players. Level design works fantastic with the movement/attack mechanic. Fun.

Kurwa Sprint is a faithful Mario clone. The environment's a little more forgiving but the enemies are a little tougher. Coins to collect, secrets to find, and it's a tough game, 90s-style. Cute & fun.

Kurwa Sprint released a couple of years ago. It's a shameless mario clone with cute pixel graphics; true to its 90s roots, it's a pretty challenging game. See how far you can get in one run - collecting coins gives extra lives and you'll need them.

Lessermore's Giltsteader released a week and a bit ago. Wasn't sure what to make of it going in but it's awesome. Each wave you gain seeds - farming is simplistic but it's attached to a variable market so timing is crucial to make money between waves. There's no downtime.

Giltsteader's a TD \with a stack of quirky features that set it apart from the others. Towers are random and must merge to upgrade, and there's farming. Very interactive, there's never a dull moment.

Old but Gold released Ad Fundum less than a week ago. It's not your average miner. There's a huge range of upgrades (including multiple types of drills, jets, tracks, chassis..), new environmental hazards the further you dig, and earthquakes! Can get high pressure. Addictive.

Ad Fundum is a simple but addictive mining game. Dig for minerals, sell for $. Pressure is on managing fuel, temp, health & storage - oh, and earthquakes! Surprisingly large variety of upgrades.

Swarmsign's a fun new shooter. Only got to play solo and enjoyed it but it'd be even better in co-op. Love the laser weapons. You also get a turret drop and special ability (on timers) so it's great for interactivity. And three game modes with progressive difficulty. Very fun.

Swarmsign is simple but very fun topdown shooter. Farm defence mode is good but herd defence is even more fun. Offensive mode's pretty cool too. Good variety of enemies & weapons/abilities. Moreish!

ZpellCatz released about a week ago. Once you get past the tutorial dungeon it escalates and opens up at a fairly rapid pace. It's a simple top-down looter shooter with proc-gen dungeons but the constant dopamine hits is surprisingly addictive.

ZpellCatz is a fun dungeon crawling looter-shooter. The graphics are cute and child-friendly although the game itself is surprisingly generic. But executed well - combat is fun, plenty of variety.

Nova-Box has just released fantastic new visual novel, Echoes. The murder mystery will keep you guessing until the end - but the story doesn't stop there. There's choice and consequence, although some if it's well-hidden. It's high quality work - the writing & artwork is great.

Echoes is a visual novel that starts as a detective murder mystery but unfolds into a dark supernatural government conspiracy. It's very well written and the art style perfectly fits the mood.

Check and Slash is not what you'd think. It's essentially realtime hack-and-slash (except the baddies shoot) with some rogue elements. It's a bit grindy and repetitive but the boss fights are decent.

Uncultured Games have outdone themselves with new release Whispers in the Moss. Ultimately, it's a JRPG. The ANSI/ASCII + text UI style is reminiscent of generational games but absolutely impressive in its execution. The scope of the game is just as impressive.

Whispers in the Moss is a fairly traditional JRPG but with retro text-based UI. Interesting characters, decently writing, interesting locations to visit, and the ANSI/ASCII art is impressive.

The Last WarMage could use a little more polish but it's a lot of fun. Essentially tapper but with weapon & enemy variety, ammo management and dynamic controls. Thoughtful and can get hectic.

Last Warmage released today! It's essentially a complex "Tapper" game. You'll need to rapidly cycle through weapons to maximise efficiency against a range of enemies as ammo management is key. Also requires dual control to collect pickups. Pretty cool game.
