I don't normally write reviews on Steam, but I'm making an exception because I've loved this game so much already. I think most people may look at the concept and just be like ??? and I'll admit, I wasn't sure how I'd like it either, but I mainly gave it a shot due to loving the previous games they've made and it truly didn't disappoint. In fact, as someone who is very much not a strategy-person, I loved it more than I could have imagined.

The Beasties are so so cute, the characters are great and interesting, and I've only played through the demo and playtests so far. There's so much care, charm, and personality put into every bite and I really hope more people give it a shot, especially those who like games like Pokemon, Temtem, and similar. There's even randomizer and Iron Man modes for those who want more of a challenge.

Or, for those like me who just like to befriend them all and aren't the best battling-wise (or don't want the stress), the auto-mode is also really good and there is even an auto-victory button if you want to focus on everything else more.

I can't wait until the next playtest and the game's release later this year. I would've backed the Kickstarter too if things weren't so rough when it was around (regardless, I regret not backing it).

I really hope more people check out the game because I'd love to talk to more people about it and every single person I've gotten to try it out has loved it too. I really can't recommend it enough.
