I always used to play this game for its driving and not for the story. Most people hate driving in this game because of the physics and the car feels too heavy to steer. Always liked the dark theme of GTA IV, though the map is based on New York City, the dark theme feels more like a Russian depressing city. The game is very poorly optimized, I had to fix it by downloading DXVK, which applies a VULKAN layer to DX9 API, which GTA IV uses. The story is great, I like the characters. In other GTA games like San Andreas, we are in gang wars. In GTA V, we are solving our personal problems. But in GTA IV, we are a Hitman, working on contracts. The AI is more realistic, the pedestrians are more realistic than GTA V, the drivers follow a routine, the cops are more realistic, if a pedestrian hits you, the cops will arrest the pedestrian, and cops don't randomly shoot you for standing in front of them. The hookers are better in GTA IV <3 XD . Niko Bellic is a family man; he would do anything to save his cousin Roman. Niko also is an Eastern European war veteran, so he is trained better than all the other protagonists. In my opinion, Niko Bellic is the strongest protagonist in GTA series. He doesn't fear anyone and is not scared to say no. For me, GTA IV is better than GTA V. I would give this game a rating of 8.5/10.
