This game is just perfect for an RPG lover. I got this game on sale for $10 (for the bundle mind you) and I am so happy I did. The game, the music, the voice acting is just terrific. The story and the writing behind it is great but I don't expect anything less from the mind of R.A. Salvatore. Then you have Ken Rolston (one of the main men behind The Elder Scrolls series) working as a designer and then you have Todd MacFarlane (Spawn creator) designing the fabulous art of the game. When I saw these big names working on this game I had to have it.

Yes this game is quirky but that adds to the charm. Also I have to note if you like housing in RPGs and you want an actual good housing mechanic get the Dead Kel DLC. But also that DLC was the best in my opinion. It featured a nice pirate like storyline to the already great world of Amalur.

I will say this though there are only a total of four races in the game but don't let that get you excited. Now you might see dwarf creatures in the videos but I will tell you now you can't play them. You have the option of either have the Almain (a beefy human) or a Varani (a more lithe beefy human) and the other two you have Dokkalfar (magelike dark elves) and Ljosalfar (sneaky and mage, a good balance).

Now I haven't put that many hours into the game but in that 72.4 hours I have completed the main questline, the fae questline, the Teeth of Naros main questline and the Dead Kel area and questline. But I am still not done so take that for what you will.

Update at 100 hours in I am just looking to get every achievement but it is going to be a painful process for I don't want to say goodbye.

P.S. This game does not have mod support.
