Been hearing a lot of people re-recommending the game lately, I think its in a pretty eh state.
First off spawns are atrocious, like CoD bo1 level bad where I spawn in front of enemies, haven't seen spawns this bad in a really long time and to this level this consistently.
Weapon balancing feels weird, some are insane and some are awful. Some weapons that were once great and felt nice to aim now feel awful and inconsistent; hell even some of the great weapons react weirdly. Now this could all just be veteran bias but the Grav ham and Sniper feel disgusting to use with how they have changed (love how the shotgun is a better sniper) and the range on the Grav hammer shouldn't exist, but when the game isn't about shooting lasers and damn fireworks the gun play is pretty decent.
Cosmetics are cool, pretty damn expensive though and it feels like the prices are just slightly too much to get you to buy $20 instead of $15 by making everything $16, the progression in the pass is way faster but still feels kinda slow compared to like every other game, the challenges DO boost you but its only weekly and dont boost you nearly as much as other games like in apex, destiny, or fortnite some of those challenges will give you BUTTLOADS of xp but in infinite max I've seen is half a tier so 500xp for one challenge.

Over all its an alright mp experience, decent gunplay on the weapons that have been cherry picked to not have been beaten to death by the devs, Progression Isn't too slow even without challenges, cosmetics cost a bit too much compared to other games, spawns are the worst modern example in gaming, map is inconsistent to high hell, and you will probably have to carry some matches as a warning.

I don't recommend only because a game that is mediocre isn't winning the battle for your time, every game nowadays are all fighting for your attention and with there being plenty of above average games this being on the cusp of below average it almost isn't worth giving a shot. Playing this game for fun with friends however could give you one hell of a time, the for fun modes in this game are pretty good

Never in my life has a game opened my eyes, I have never seen a community with so many negatives and absolutely no positives. A game with such a bad scene it opened my eyes to the overall negatives of the gaming community as a whole, the darks are so deep in Apex that it showed me the issue with every game I've ever played with an online community, there is no light here do not seek it. Apex is a fun and addicting game, To me it rarely ever feels like I died cause I got no weapons or someone got something better then me, you are always able to outplay and it is always possible to 1v3 (well usually it depends on the location if you are in the open field with no cover you might just die) But Apex is an amazingly fair game in my humble opinion and the apex community needs to realize that. The game is 8/10 but the community could not get any worse, the rest of this review is solely meant to target the bad player base. Most of the issues with this game is completely an ego problem, typically in solo queue people will absolutely flame each other in chat when they go down, this is cause they have been infected by the content creator disease, a lot of the player base watches these godly gamers like Aceu, ItzTimmy, Faide, taxi2g, and stormen etc; Now there is nothing wrong with idolizing these players or any players in any gaming scene and wanting to be as good as them but you need to practice, so these players in Apex take this to the extreme. They watch these guys, then they watch a movement guide and think they are on the same level, they will be the next one in the hall of Apex fame if they just play the same character and tap strafe, so a huge part of the solo queue experience is people that rush in with these over picked champs and instead of playing around cover or anything they waltz up and get beamed by the collective team and then rage at their team in chat, then leave and go on to terrorize the next team. To Apex players it is never their fault it is always someone else who got them killed or didn't play to their needs. Apex players will tear each other apart at the seams for the littlest things, a good example was once I was in a trios game and one of my teammates had TTV in their name, The other teammate went downed and we had just wiped a team so we were partially safe, so I started rezzing, the Wraith-ttver ran out into another squad in a close building and instantly went down, he started screaming and I do not over exaggerate in the screaming part, the newly rezzed teammate asked him why he was reacting this way, and I decided to be blunt, asking him over the mic why he would just run in to the next team by himself while I was rezzing, he then screamed slurs and every curse word a 9/yo would use and I told him maybe queue solo since he was running in by himself, and he decided to just scream... no words... no sense... just noise coming out of his mouth to irritate us, I then told him he would never make it as a streamer and to stop trying, I was done at this moment, fully fed up with the community, this is really the moment I hated the community. He left after I stated what I did and of course a duo didn't last much longer. I started being blunt to everyone in the community after this, every single person going willy nilly into their death blaming everyone else, everyone who I could tell would leave the game after getting downed, etc; Now you might think well that is in game, communities outside of matches might be fine... No I think the community gets worse, especially with pettiness. Outside of the game most of the community is complaining about something stupid, always with "pay to win iron sights" or some feature/weapon/nerf whatever it is now they are complaining, I genuinely think apex players push the stupidest beliefs and it is like a vaccum with everyone getting pulled in, I genuinely want to know why Apex players think iron sights and skins are pay to win, YOU ALMOST NEVER SEE THEM IN GAME, there are sights in game for a reason, are you telling me that 80% of the player base is choosing iron sights over picking up an hcog? Yeah right, the sights don't make you better and it never will, you can only make yourself better with practice, so it should never matter on skins and sights and champ skins (seriously why does everyone copy content creator skins, like the wraith bald skin easily the ugliest skin in the game and just because Aceu uses it everyone does) anyway THERE ARE BIGGER FISH TO FRY IN THIS COMMUNITY. All I want for this community is for everyone to just think for themselves and to maybe just maybe practice a bit more and to stop pitting blame on each other. This community is in desperate need for people to put there egos aside for a sec and just leave the match when you lose or maybe to just keep their text chats/ mouths closed and move on. No one but you cares about your apex career, your stream or anything doing with you, they are playing for themselves and not for you, some content creators push these beliefs that keep the community toxic because it will bring these people that want to stream "success" (literally watch ottr, he is like 90% whats wrong with this community himself, from complaining about the wrong things, to weapon skins p2w bs, the toxic play style , and the wrong attitude in games IE blaming your teammates for everything) They say that the way to get ahead and popular in the community is to do these things and get content but it just doesn't work, people don't watch these guys cause they are shout matching when they go down they are watching cause of their insane skills and ability to 1v3 so why is it that these people exist in teams in trios, it isn't practice that will get you to the top, you won't ever 1v3 if you don't learn to fight 3 at a time. I genuinely think if people put just a little more thought into the game it would flip over and the community would be decent, it is impossible at this point weed out the bad apples, the community is built around the bad apples because it feels like in this community most people think that the worse part of the community is what we should and strive for, what everyone who plays the game should become and through that we planted the seeds for the community and what we got in return was that flower that sprouts and smells like death, we got the bad end of the deal from the toxic trash heap that we built as a foundation, we didn't weed them out so now almost everyone is one. So now I feel the only hope for this community is just betterment, everyone needs to focus on themselves and to just take the time to not ruin everyone elses time, now I am not saying that the community needs to stop leaving games, be full angels or saints whatever, just don't be a full on a**hole and blame everyone when you make no indication of how you want to play, there is a chat system and ping system in this game for a reason. In short, mute every squad if you do play, it is genuinely fun when there isn't a 16y/o tiktoker yelling at you cause ottr told him so.

This game was fun at first, but around the end of the first tier the grind set in; acquiring lions takes far too long, research points are fine but when the game keeps trying to milk every lion you have from multiple sources it becomes hard to not make a positive income in this game. I don't know what the match making is but at first I was around people that were pretty close in skill, then like 5 hours later i am getting quite literally one shot by some level 100 fat fold nerd playing the low tiers, it became an actual issue. Most of the time the game was get in, get shot down by an expert, get into the next. repeat, with a few outliers of games where I was getting a kill or two then right back to being smurfed on. I would recommend this game for a few hours but if you want to learn and get better, prepare to get beaten with no remorse. I finally quit when I got no indicator that a plane was flying above me and the fired one singular bullet and I died. (I am also addicted)

Game was pretty fun when it came out, now it is a shameless cash grab, I reinstalled and it's gameplay didn't feel too different; but every match that I've played after reinstalling I've died to someone coming up on me with no audio ques at all, god do not touch this POS, also as a heads up, if you think "oh well maybe they were sneaking up on you" Tell that to the guy who rolled up to me with a car and the car didn't make a sound :)
