harder than I remember

Another great addition to the Yakuza series. Mini games went up a notch, and combat, while different, was fun to play. Overall the experience was amazing, but there were a few things that fell somewhat flat for me. These are by no means anything that should stop you from playing this fantastic game, just a few gripes after finishing the main story that you might want to know about before playing.

- Most of the story bosses are resistant to physical damage, so almost all skills except for mage or elemental type damage skill due that much damage to them. So unless you have some of those abilities boss fights can last upwards of an hour.
- Some bosses near the end of the game felt a bit unfair due to their higher level and high physical resistance. Grinding the arena certainly fixes this but I wish I could've blasted through the story and then gone through and done stuff in premium adventure afterwards
- Most jobs feel underwhelming and uneffictive due to their lack of heavy damage dealing skills until hitting the high job ranks of 20+ (when they get their aoe skill or extreme damage skill), for the most part the base jobs the characters had were better or passable for the main story. Idol was the main exception because of the healing
- The Matriach and Devil Rocker jobs are cool, but for the story I could not find any weapons for the classes so I was unable to use them during the story. The Devil Rocker has a life steal skill though so I leveled it up for that but was unfortunately unable to use them because the only weapon I had for those classes was the base one
- healthbar length above an enemies head does not always correspond to how much health they actually have. For the most part it does though
- The amount of money needed for equipment and story is no joke near the end, almost requiring you to finish the main business side mission which after finishing can net you 2 mil every period or grinding through the arenas

None of these are dealbreakers and I believe most of them are in place so the player is pushed into playing more of the game, which is by no means a bad thing. Most of the personality of the Yakuza series comes from its side content anyway so having the player do side content isn't all that bad.

tldr: Very good game, make sure you have non physical attacks when facing bosses (like ice shower skill from host job), base classes are good, some side content is semi required to progress the story near the end

I'm baby

Overall felt very polished, but after beating the boss legitimately one can realize there is massive cheese. You can go to the right and somewhere out of bounds it triggers the next boss phase and can be done for all phases, essentially allowing the player to skip the entire boss fight. You can also go OoB in your house. Other than that the game was really fun.

This new Spider-Man game is great!

All jokes aside, the game right now is fairly short with only 1 area (I think, I could've also just missed some content entirely) so the second trailer is a better representation of what is currently in the game. If I had to describe the game right now it would be "Short but Sweet". Can't wait for more content!
