I played this game on the PS4 when it released. It was the first game I've ever pre-ordered, and I even bought a PS4 specifically for this game. I loved God of War (2018) and I played all of the original games, too.

Don't be fooled by the negative reviews. A lot of people are review-bombing the game because of the PSN account requirement. While they're rightfully annoyed, they're doing more harm than good with the negative reviews. A PSN account is a small price to pay to be able to access this game. and honestly, it's hardly an inconvenience.

Few games can even compare to God Of War: Ragnarok. The world-building is immaculate, the voice acting is flawless, the characters and writing are perfect, the sound and art design is beyond description, and the story-telling is amazing.

Additionally, the game runs incredibly well on PC. The God of War 2018 port to PC was a little rough and had some performance issues, but this time, they really nailed it. I've yet to encounter even a stutter or freeze.

If you liked God of War 2018, you'll love this game. It's a direct upgrade, with enough content to last you dozens and dozens of hours. It's very re-playable, especially with NG+. They also ported the DLC over, which adds hours of content, too, and the DLC is free.

Ragnarok is worth every penny.
