Amazing

I am finally done with every achievement and touched every square millimeter of grass in the game, so I am finally ready to review.
That said, I did it in under 200 hours. All endings for both base and DLC, side quests, missions, unlocks, ability paths. The works. That is a little light for an open-world RPG still at a cost of 60 dollars after 4 years, and I didn't even speed through it. In fact, I played every character type too. Street Kid, Corpo, and Nomad.

Anyway, I will leave it to you to decide if that is value or not. Let's dive into the game.

The story quality for the base game, I would give a 6-7 for main questline, and about an 8 overall for the side missions/gigs. The NCPD Scanner and cyberpscho things are just busy work/filler. No need to rate there, though they at least do explain what went on with infodiscs. For the DLC overall, I would give it an 8.5-9. Very good outside of some mediocre to poor voice choices for side characters that break immersion. The main quest voices are great.

Combat is where this shines I think. There is a lot of diversity in how you can play, and the perk paths lead you really well into how you will do your combat. There are paths that are VERY clearly superior, but that won't matter unless you play on hard difficulty. A lot of fun and unique weapons make it even better with special abilities that are fun to play around with/combo with. Combat is a solid 9/10.

Perks/Talent tree apparently was changed and seems really good. There are a few angles where its a bit confusing as to why a talent is there, overall it makes sense and is written so that everyone can understand what they do. However, when a talent applies to a cyberware ability, it would be nice if it annotated which cyberware gives that ability. 8.5/10 for that.

Open-world feel is important. People want to be able to go around and just imagine they are living in the world sometimes, not just bustling from mission to mission. This is where the game unfortunately lacks. While the aesthetic matches the story/idea, it is just repetitive skinning of the same thing over and over. The citizens have the same 8-10 voice lines and voices, same looks. the same 5 advertisements everywhere. It just feels like every block looks and feels the same. A missed opportunity was there, imo. 5/10 at best on that.

There are "Main" side characters and their associated missions as well. I believe each of the romance-capable characters have one, even if your characters sex cannot romance them. They were all pretty good actually. I would say they were more solid than the main quest line sadly. a solid 8-9 on em.

There is a lot of fun to be had overall. They also threw in a few cringe-worthy moments for social political points, but its easy enough to just push through that, even though it is pretty immersion breaking.

As a summary of someone who did it all, literally, I would give it like a 7.8/10 overall. Not bad, not great. Just depends if you want to shell out that much money for the amount of content. I got it on sale, so I wasn't upset. I think it is appropriate that this game has bounced around mostly/very positive since they fixed a lot of the bad things. That is the review though, take it how you will.

The game is broken AF now. They tried to change things for the sake of saying they did, and it went horribly wrong.

Really great game, just finished getting every unlock. Peachone and the mine carts are pretty useless, but other than that there is good diversity for building.
