Some Info About Me
Been gaming since I was 5-6. First thing I ever played was Atari 2600. Had a NES (played the hell out of that thing), SNES (Same as the NES, Played the hell out of it), Playstation (same as the NES and SNES), Playstation 2 (yup that one as well) Playstation 3 (again same thing). I've been PC gaming since 1992 or was it 93, don't remember that well but ya I am a hardcore gamer. You name it I've almost played it all, from wolfenstien 3d to super mario to demon souls and so forth.

Games I mostly enjoy are retro games done right or new ones that bring back the classic vibes with new and old rules. Just there to have fun and a challenge. High end titles haven't been where my excitement has been for a long time maybe the past 10-15 years. Independent game developers remember the glory days of 90s gaming and that is where I seek to spend my money. I like hard and fair games.

As I have typed I'm a retro gamer so anything that has some good classic action like Ion Fury, Ultimate Doom, and pretty much anything that gives that SNES vibe or 90s glory gaming I take a nice long look at. I appreciate a game for what I have and not for what I want, most of the time. Back in the Nintendo days you just had to deal with what you had. So if a game was super hard and never saw the end you say: "I had a fun time trying to get through it."

Once a wise game developer said (sorry was a Japanese game dev can't remember his name) "There are things you can do with 2d games that you can't do with 3d games. And there are things with 3d games you can't do with 2d games." I completely agree with this comment.

Genres I like are 2d and 3d fighting games, flight sims, racing sims, 2d and 3d racing games, action adventure games, Role Playing Games aka RPG (which are Dungeons and Dragons like), Action RPGs, First Person Shooters, Third Person Shooters (if done right, meaning no over the shoulder camera). I haven't been interested in sports games in a while but when I see something I might buy it.

I've also worked with a lot of game developers helping them make their games better since steam kind of started this process called Early Access. Other than outside of steam like Mechwarrior Online and some other titles I've given very detailed feedback on what I think the current game state is. Games on steam that I have help develop or given feed back on, same difference, GRIP, Hell Let Loose, and some other titles (can't think of any off the top of my head).

I do like developing maps for First person shooters I enjoy. I've had experience in Half-Life 2's Hammer Editor with a simple map on counterstrike source aka a Frag Yard. I've made a few maps on DOOM (2016) with SNAP map. Was a very cool idea but when making larger maps had issues with saving monster placement and changing game rules and yata yata yata some more boring nerdy crap nobody gives a Flip about. Found Prodeus saw was two devs from the Doom team from 2016 and saw that their product was more or very close to the doom products that I like before the 2016 game. I haven't got to it yet but one map is up super short have about 5 rooms 1 secret its on the game if you have it.

Big SNK fan back in the day when arcades were big rows of gaming cabinates and a pockets full of quarters. Sega kinda hit or miss same as capcom. Big fan of Bandi Namco or Namco before they merged with toy company. Not a huge fan of pack man but everything else they had was fun. Digital Devolver pumping out some very cool classics as new games. And checking with what the Independent crowd has to offer.

Just a big fan of the 90s games from 2d-3d and very interested in game development.
