In Japanese folklore, Nurikabe is an invisible or semi-visible wall-like yokai that blocks travelers at night. No matter how one tries to move around it, the wall follows, confusing and exhausting the wanderer. Some stories describe it as a guardian; others, as a test. It does not harm—only halts, quietly shaping fates.
