Unironically the most fun I've had in a multiplayer FPS. Incredibly underrated game that YOU should try if you enjoy multiplayer FPS games. I was so pleasantly surprised by this game and hope you are too.

Great character customization, beautiful destruction, with a fantastic variety of weapons and gadgets for any play style.

Having the DLC makes it impossible to play with anybody who doesn't have it. This is either a ridiculous oversight or a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ business practice. You have to disable the DLC in order to play with friends who don't have it, So, I bought this just to not be able to use the new class... FUN!

I put a decent amount of time into the beta and was hoping that it wouldn't be an accurate representation of the full game... Well, it was. I've notice a few notable bugs from the beta in the full game which is pretty disappointing, but not my biggest grip by a long shot. I actually wouldn't even care about these bugs if certain other aspects of the game were either intuitive or even just functional.

The gameplay is solid; the movement feels great, combat is good, and the game is a big visual upgrade from 2 (which isn't as important to me, but I still appreciate it). When it works it can be pretty fun, but the glaring issues unfortunately outweigh the positive aspects of the game.

Firstly, the game always being online is just plain stupid. This doesn't benefit the player at all and only puts a timer for when the game will inevitably be shut down, I understand that this might not seem relevant right now to some poeple, as this game is new, but with how the servers have been performing can you really trust this? Not only that, but this also leaves all players, regardless of if they're playing single player or coop, unnecessarily vulnerable to losing the ability to play the game due to random issues with the wonky servers. The system they had for 2 was simply better and never needlessly got in the way of anybody's ability to play the game. Any justifications given for this game always being online are absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, don't even consider it.

While the always online issues are my biggest gripe, there are others. Two bigger ones are the strange new progression system based solely on completing challenges instead of getting xp gains from playing. I figure this was done to minimize players being able to grin, which I don't really understand the purpose of. Why does it matter how player choose to enjoy the game? Is this some sort of strategy to keep players on the game longer so they'll consider the micro-transaction crap that's yet to be implemented? I'm not sure if this last bit makes sense, but I just find the devs decision here confusing. Last issue I'll mention is the ui. To start, it's visually unremarkable compared to the 2nd game, which isn't all that important to me, but since it's lacking in other areas, like having primary and secondary weapons separated in the weapons shop and having players visualized in the lobby before choosing a heist, I acknowledge that this holds value. Lots of little issues with the ui along with some quality of life problems, but I'll leave it at that. I'm going to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bed lmao

If I had a jar of piss for every hour that I enjoyed playing this game, I'd be floating in a pool-o-piss. Friend, you go have a great day now.

I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with this game, both in single player and coop, but coop is definitely where this thrives. If you've got a friend or two who want an incredible coop experience, then this is the game for you. All in all, this game is a whole lot of fun however you want to play it.

Lunacid lives up to its inspirations skillfully and without falling into mimicry. It flares with fantastic atmosphere, nostalgic moody music, and great retro-styled graphics & UI. If you enjoyed older Fromsoftware games, like those mentioned as inspiration or just have an interest in older dungeon crawler games, then I definitely recommend giving Lunacid a try. You won't be disappointed.

If you are worried about it being early access, I understand that worry as there have been many early access games that fail to really achieve what they promised and/or hoped for, but all my fears regarding Lunacid have been quelled by playing it. This game is genuinely very enjoyable as it stands now. So, I have great confidence in the quality and charm of the new content that will incrementally be added. Lastly, the price is very affordable for the quality of this game, thus making it a low risk/high reward purchase, if you're still on the fence.

Lunacid is just as charming as always, but now with more levels, weapons, etc. It is absolutely worth picking up. I find myself going back to this game often just to wander around the beautiful environments, so that I can soak in that lovely retro atmosphere for just a moment more.

My favorite song is definitely "Washed Away"; I am most at peace while aimlessly wandering around to that gentle tune.

Absolutely fantastic game with unique mechanics and strange happenings. I'd recommend you avoid spoilers, just strap in and enjoy the oddly beautiful yet unsettling ride.

I followed this game and excitedly awaited its release from the day of its announcement, but it was abandoned without warning. There was new content promised for 'the future' but that never came. As of now, it's fun, but still has bugs and feels a bit barren. It's really a shame, as this game holds a whole lot of potential to become something greater, but was killed by the devs desertion of the game.

All in all, it's still a fun game, but it's lack of new content and rather light present content leaves the game with little replayability. So, unless you're planning to play it with friends and it's on sale, don't buy it. Don't reward the devs for their abandonment and for, basically, lying to their playerbase.
