Compared to the two previous Co-Op games by Hazelight Studios, Split Fiction is an surprising downgrade.

- The concept of being stuck in your fictional world can lead to endless possibilities, but ALL Split Fiction does is give you platforming levels and maybe a new ability with each world. Leaves a lot to be desired. For being game about being in a simulation of your fantasies, each level is pretty uninspired.
- There is no difficulty in this game at all. The answer to every puzzle in this game is essentially shoved in your face, like the developers think you're a 5 year old with no clue how to play a video game.
- The story is O.K. at best. The attempts to have each character face their own demons were pretty half baked - Especially Zoe's storyline.

5/10 is still a very generous score to give Split Fiction. If you're looking for a Co-Op game, pick up It Takes Two or A Way Out.
