I'm not one to review games too often, but Celeste deserves one. This game is an absolute masterpiece in every single aspect. The story is wonderful, the level design is amazing, the controls are extremely tight and responsive, there's a huge amount of content for a platformer, the environments are all varied and beautiful. I'm sure lots of other reviews have touched on all of this, but my favorite thing about this game is the difficulty. It is extremely difficult, and the B-Sides, levels that you unlock from finding a cassette tape in each normal level, are several times as difficult as their counterparts. But what's truly remarkable is that I never got upset with the game, and nothing felt unfair. With enough persistence, I was able to get through every single level and collect every single collectible. I've never felt such a sense of accomplishment from fully finishing a game like this, and it was well worth the buy. 10/10, one of the best games of all time.

Have you ever seen "Drive"? Well, if you loved that movie, then this is the game for you. Played from a top-down perspective, you play as an unnamed protagonist who recieves phone calls to go through areas and kill pretty much everyone he sees. Strangely enough, this is extraordinarily addictive, and the bizzare story will keep you captivated until the end. The gameplay seems simple enough, and it has a good difficutly curve. However, that's not to say it isn't frustrating at times. Occasionally, the controls are a bit screwy and things don't happen as you intended them to, but it's merely a minor setback as the game has tons of checkpoints.

In short, this is pure, raw, grotesque 8-bit fun. Buy it and play the ♥♥♥♥ out of it. You'll see what I'm talking about.
