Doom Eternal done right masquerading as a boomer-shooter.

Fast paced combat, fun and coherent implementation of pretty much every major shooter mechanic out there (grappling hook, double jump, alternative fire modes that are more effective against certain types of enemies, secrets etc.), stunning visuals and awesome soundtrack. Surprisingly engaging but not overbearing story line.

Most notably, it manages to walk the fine line between a mindless W+LMB and an overly restrictive weapon specialization.

A must buy.

It's a Slav game, you know the type:
- Technically great.
- Visually unique.
- Music (by my man Mick Gordon Himself) is outstanding.
- Story is decent (so far).
- Fridge is sexy.

But the gameplay is, as in any other slav game... well, it isn't broken to the point where it doesn't work but neither does it work to a point where it's thoroughly enjoyable. It kind of roams Not Great Not Terrible valley between Mildly Annoying ridge and Pretty Neat hill.

Still a decent experience. Maybe wait for a sale but make sure not to pass this one by.

Just finished the game after about then hours of having a great time.

As a huge "W + LMB"-type of games enjoyer I was initially wary about this one, especially about the puzzles part. I was constantly getting stuck at puzzles when I was a kid and because of that I never played these kind of games ever since.

Well the good news is that the puzzles are easy, never more than 3-5 minutes to solve.
The other good news are:

• the story is great, keeps you hooked and leaves you scratching your head (in a good way)
  
• the lore and world-building are exceptional
  
• the visuals are stylish and extremely well-crafted, a joy to look at
  
• the music is great, very decent sound design that never feels out of place
  
• the spooky parts are adequately spooky, no cheap tricks
  
• the combat is nice, not too easy to run the spooky part, not too difficult to ruin the experience
  
• the whole thing feels professionally crafted and very polished, no issues or bugs whatsoever
  
• the 20 euro price tag feels completely justified

Bottom line: highly recommended.

Also Falke is the best girl and I will not tolerate statements to the contrary.

Tiny bit rough around the corners gameplay-wise. A 10/10 story experience, no questions asked.

Blatant cash grab attempting to justify itself with a single joke, a painfully unfunny one at that.

This is a seriously underrated game. Highly recommended if you've got a weekend to burn through.

Exceptionally tense and tight gameplay that goes 0 to 60 in a split second. Mechanics that will screw with your basic psychology. Great sound design. Addictive mission loop with adequately randomized environment.

Highly recommended to play with a buddy (or four).
At times this game will make tenth of a second feel like a minute.

Solid game with interesting setting and story. Great way to spend an evening.

Overburdened with pointless and boring game mechanics that are there just to be there. You'll be spending most of your time jumping around moving platforms.

Isn't fun. Isn't dynamic. Isn't gritty.
Doesn't feel like DOOM.

Absolutely majestic game. A reading simulator at times but damn I liked what I've read.
One-of-a-kind thing. Highly recommended.

The initial review was negative because I've confused game mechanics for censorship. That alone is something special.
