It's the next best thing to real life range time.

This is one of those games that holds up well over a decade later.
Republic Commando puts you in the helmet of Delta-38, a Clone Commando, and leader of Delta Squad, a group of 4 SpecOps units.
It's cool, its got good pacing, and it doesn't overstay its welcome.
A solid shooter with a sprinkling of tactical set-up involved, giving squad commands, breaching doors, slicing terminals, setting up a unit at a strategic location, and so on.

It genuinely immersed me into the world. The graphics may not look fantastic by today's standards, but the TOP tier foley and believable voice acting make for a truly superb sound design overall.
Bonus points for Temuera Morrison (who portrayed Jango Fett) being the voice of the player character.

Genuinely entertaining lil number. Figuring out how to unf*ck the situation you so thoroughly f*cked just a moment ago is a hoot.

Gadgets are neat. I'm a big fan of the swap tool. And the stealth wall. And the sidewinder. Actually, they're all good. Game's good.

A truly delightful experience. Wistful ambiance, relaxing atmosphere, and calming tone in droves. I don't usually get into this sort of game, but ConcernedApe knocked it out of the park with this one. I booted it up one day, and was immediately sucked into it. I played for 6 hours straight, and didn't play any other games for a week afterwards.

Play it alone for a charming slice-of-life experience, play it with friends for a capitalism simulator chock full of sh*tty memes. Either way, worth a buy. Bless this game.

Solid by itself, better with mods. I am a longtime player of the tabletop game, and despite its shortcomings, this game impressed me enough to keep me playing for 200 hours.
