The Beginner's Guide is an art game created by the person behind The Stanley Parable. I brought this game because I thought I was going to get the experience similar to the game before it.

But what I got was a story based on real events. The developer was friends with a programmer named Coda, who made these seemingly simple games. But as we get further and further, we are told a story on how a person with mental issues can express themselves in ways no other person can. To see Coda stop developing games because Davey sent out games to be validated by people he trusted, it is a bit of a sad story. I don't know where Coda is now, but I'd like to say sorry.

If you like psychological thrillers that seem like a mixture of art exhibitions and simple games made in a matter of months, then this game is for you.

On the scale of 1 to 10, The Beginner's Guide gets a 9.
