The problem is not to defeat the boss, the problem is to rush the zone and get to the boss with enough Estus Flasks!

This game is wonderful, and i've played it for only 16-17h. I was a noob like you when i first bought it, i was worried like you are that it was going to be extremely brutal and frustrating, but it isn't for me. Well, it has been for the first 5-6 hours, when i actually thought: "why have i installed this game, why? It's terrible, it sucks; why should i use a controller, it's not fair; why the ♥♥♥♥ should i download mods for it to play at the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 60 fps and 1080p?".In those first hours i kept dying also to the worst skeletons of the tutorial, but going ahead with it it became understandable what the game wanted me to do: learn from my silly mistakes and make up a strategy on my own. The combat system is the best i've tried in my life, and it became understandable the difficoulty from the developers to create good keyboard keys to reproduce it. You'll have to block at a right timing, attack at the right timing, fall back at the right timing and dodge the hit AT THE RIGHT TIMING. You fail at one of these? You're dead, simple as that. The IA is very very clever, but it's not OP at all, you just need to ask yourself "what does this boss want me to do?" and you'll get it, after 20-40 times you try it. I actually found myself dying at the same boss for more than 20 times, but each time was better, untill i finally understood WHAT i was doing wrong. The good thing is that after these 20 times i wasn't bored at all, because the possibilities you have during a fight are infinite, and you'll never get tired of trying them all out!

The comparison between DS and Skyrim is stupid imho: they are both epic for what they have to offer. Skyrim for its great graphics, open world, storyline, quests, MODS and a lot more; while DS for its difficoulty, replayability, combats and strategy. What is really missing on DS are strange mods like skyrims (that couldn't even be isntalled without DSfix!).

I have to admit that having to install DSfix and other graphic mods to make it AT LEAST enjoyable at 1080p and 60fps is baaahd, but come on, you'll have to work on it 20 minutes to enjoy your gameplay for ever!

Come on, little newbie, buy it, enjoy it and remember to NEVER EVER look on the internet cheap ways to defeat bosses, you'll feel soooo bad after having done that, trust me! :)

Agreed, I have well over 150 hours (NG+++) and still love it. The DsFix is awesome on nvidia surround (5760x1080). Love the game, though but rewarding :)
