It's cute, she's funny, and the game is quite hard. I really enjoyed the experience

Its not very difficult, kinda slow, but very comfy and satisfying. New updates help the game run and look nicer which is perfect.

Is it good? Yes. Is it worth the price? Definitely. Is it better than Ace Combat (TRADEMARK SYMBOL)? I'm saying no.
The moment to moment gameplay is definitely the strongest aspect of this game, (you'd hope in a video game), and what I think sets it apart the most from Ace Combat. But the presentation just can't compare to the triple A game its inspired from.

The good

I'd downright say the AI is in general better than Ace Combat. Where that game I felt many of the ai would play dumb and let you shoot it, Project Wingman's ai all try to put up a fight, no aircraft feels like straight up fodder.
The weapons. most planes get 4 total weapons. It makes planes much more versatile and is really fun to switch between them for each different target. I really think I prefer this style.

The Okay

Its flight feels floaty and smoother, missing elements such as turbulence, and how some turns may effect an aircraft's stability, I never came close to stalling in this game. This already gives the game a different feel, and not necessarly in a bad way, it can be fun in its own right.

I was not too impressed with the graphics of this game, Ace Combat has graphic issues too, but there is still the wow factor of traveling at high speeds and making fast turns which I think make both games look much cooler than the raw fidelity.

The not so good

The aircraft themselves are just not that cool. They're pretty much all the same except for the basic mobility stats. Heck some are literally the same plane with different stats/weapons.

The voice acting and some audio mixing. The voice acting is just not very good, downright distracting at times requiring me to suspend my disbelief. I also hated the radio effect they added over everyone's voices, it doesn't sound good at all and I'd turn that effect off if I could.

The story. Its a cool concept and does have some some cool moments, but overall its quite cheesy, and weakly delivered. There are no cool cutscenes, and you don't get even as much as a portrait for any characters in this story, which is not helping as I can barely tell who's talking over the crunchy radio effect.

Poor performance (and trouble with VR). I have a pretty powerful pc with a 3900X Ryzen and 2080 Ti, so I played this game perfectly fine on high settings on a high refresh rate monitor. I love VR, so I wanted to play that too. The experience of playing in VR is amazing as the implementation is quite good, if it wasn't for the awful performance. Even on lowest settings and 60% resolution I would get stuttering and that really gave me a headache so I can't recommend buying for VR (sad).

Overall its a fun game, as a complete video game experience its weaker than the triple A work its inspired from, but the moment to moment gameplay is strong, its not hard to see why some prefer it. I'll definitely be playing it again sometime in the future.

I rate this one a high score.
By the end, you will feel like you have mastered the game. I enjoyed all the time I put in.

I've played this game like 6 times. Its very fun to speedrun. If you love running and the music really elevates that feeling of running too.

On the negative, you will need to do some tinkering to get physx to work (view the pc gaming wiki article). The cutscenes look bad, no one likes the cutscenes in this game. Any part where you are required to take down people or do gunplay is bad.

But none of these are the core of the game which is why I would def recommend it.

I liked this game casually until my friend 1v1ed me and was miles ahead of me. Then I started learning how to play it competitively and have sunk many hours in it. My favorite game mode is nomad where you don't start with a town center

A very fun and memorable bullet hell. The art, music, and gameplay all tell a story. The gameplay is very fun and there are even secret bonus items in each stage.
