This is one of the finest, most rewarding RPGs I have ever had the pleasure to play. Though the graphics are simple, - thoughtfully crafted - isometric pixel portraits, the layers of detail are deliciously good.

From intricate loops of music (varied for unique events & encounters), to expertly written prose (to get acquainted with your surroundings & dialogue options), this gem of an experience ate up my time with this first play-through/campaign (40 days on the peninsula) in big, chunky morsels of 2-4 hours at a time.

I genuinely recommend this game to any fan of RPGs of the medieval variety. Yes - there is a LOT of reading, but please don't let that intimidate or overwhelm you. This is a true labor of love from a small team that deserves your time, and I'll be checking out the developer's first game, as a result of my successful time here, as a 'Roadwarden' !!!

It is a gaming experience you won't soon forget (nor ever regret). I'm already anticipating (and planning) my next play-through, and it welcomes such a nuanced approach to problem-solving, relationship building, & resource management, journeying a land of villages, beasts, & mysteries a plenty. Ready your vitality, nourishment, & gambeson - it' going to be a bumpy, memorable ride! :)
