TL;DR: I wanted to get an item, met a lot of friends as a result and got the worst item from that collection lmao... but I vowed from like, 2015 onwards to get everything that I can possibly get!

Well, when I was on Steam around this time (This is not my first steam account, my first one was made when TF2 went F2P during the Uber Update), and I saw that this event was going on, I was happy that Team Fortress 2 was getting some cool items! Of course, I didn't know about the Market at the time, so I had to find some way to get cards for the items. I finally decided to go to servers on TF2 and just ask people for cards. Obviously, people declined, called me names, y'know, the usual... Until one time, a couple people actually agreed and gave me some cards! I became good friends with them (Until one day I decided to split off from them and met another group.. which I then split of from.)

So I cherished the moment that I was able to finally craft the first level of the badge, and receive a item from the sale!

Obviously, I got two other things: The background I use on my profile now (obviously not the same one I got before but the same background) and this emoticon:

and I also got lucky in getting a Team Fortress 2 item!

The item in question: the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ common Pyro item.

BUT I CHERISHED IT!

Around 2015, I made a vow their mother will be found to get those items to make my younger self (at the time 2 year younger self) proud!
