Early Access Review
i have spent 100 mins trying to get my car to move. my first game it started no problem, but i lost it and had to start again, ive now done like 10 new games and filled all tanks appropriately and made sure everything was in order, looked at multiple guides but still no vehicle will move no matter what.

An immersive audio-visual experience from Cosmo D. A spooky mystery and plenty of nooks and crannies. What more could you want? Pizza? It's there too

i mean, it's an asset flip game with slightly satisfying but repetitive cheesy combat where you just wait for your good punch ability to recharge over and over. the enemies/bosses just get larger health bars the further you get into the game, which means you have to spend 5 mins to kill a boss by spamming your ability over and over

its kind of too bad that this game probably made $10,000 or more for being so low effort and buggy.
the english translation is practically nonexistent, there is a lot of repeating and backtracking and watching cutscenes over and over, no way to make sense of progression in english without a guide. what you see in the trailer is the entire game, all the surprises and areas. it has reasonably good environment design but it really is just low effort asset flip content. it really lacks polish and makes the player feel disrespected by the dev

spent 3 hours trying to get the game to work after losing control by opening the PDA on steam deck. character just doesnt move after you open it, no matter if you restart or open and close it again, nothing. I am hoping I can get a refund because I can't play the game.

the audio and visuals are fantastic, on par with AAA most of the time, greatly impressive coming from a solo dev.
the gameplay consists of moving slowly and finding some type of key to unlock some type of door, tons of backtracking, the occasional jumpscare in the form of a vision or brief chase sequence. the ending was pretty cool, but i ran through it frantically because i was tired of the chore being the previous 2.5 hours of gameplay.
I don't recommend the game personally, it was not a very enjoyable experience, but that's not to say it is a bad piece of art. the story was a bit too ambiguous but the symbolism and whatnot was pretty cool, and there is clearly a lot of inspiration and passion going into this. like i said, the visuals and audio are fantastic most of the time, the ending looked super awesome, but it is almost a lie to call this a "game". it is very much a drawn out walking simulator for the most part, which i knew going into, but the worst part is that it is easy to die and have to repeat the same mundane walking for a few minutes each time. that, and the 'puzzles' and backtracking to find a random key type object are extremely tedious, it would almost have been better to pick a side, either full on game with some kind of gameplay elements at the sacrifice of continuity, or full on linear experience type walking simulator where there is little or no room for needing to restart or go in the wrong direction.
often times, the 'solution' to a 'puzzle' would be to walk back halfway through the level and find that the environment has changed and a door can now be opened in some way. towards the end i was just running around spamming left click to pick up any random object that might be in the dark, and just try to take the most obvious linear path and hope that there is no 'puzzle' or vision to slow down the game.
i wish you best of luck on your next game, you clearly have a lot of skills, this one just wasn't for me.

actual review: it's cool for the first little bit, then the gameplay gets really repetitive but i'm sure it would be better with mods. i wouldn't pay more than $10 for this game but it's alright.i played it a lot on Xbox as a kid

10th anniversary should see the DLCs made free. April 11th 2024 advertising a "free" set of updates is silly. it's just an update. i bought minecraft for $35 like 12 years ago and they have never since advertised to me a "free" update or incentivised DLC (with the exception of the bedrock marketplace, which i feel bad for every kid whose parents trusts them with a bunch of streaming services and a nintendo switch rather than a computer)
