I'm not even going to write a joke review for this game. I think this game deserves a proper review. I'm not even finished with the game and I know I will make this game my entire personality for several months.

I've been a fan of GFL since 2016-2017. While I loved the lore, music, and art of GFL, I was very critical of its gameplay, and I am also just as critical with PNC ever since playing it during its launch in CN. I approached this game with caution and boy they did everything to subvert my expectations with this game. This game is amazing in every field.

Pros:
- Gives you a quick recap of the story everytime you open a save file. This is a very genius addition because the GFL franchise has always been very extensive. I can't count how many story-heavy games I dropped because the plot was hard to follow. I'm glad they added this
- Story is understandable enough for both GFL and non-GFL fans. It doesn't feel so disconnected from the franchise, but it doesn't feel like it would leave newcomers out of place either
- Builds are actually easy to understand for a complex SRPG
- Personally had a lot of fun at the stealth missions
- Actually likeable MC and a very good cast of characters. I love the dynamics of the characters in this story, it makes them feel so real
- Really good cutscenes

Cons:
- Crazy ahh UI that took me a while to get used to. It's just a GFL franchise staple at this point though.
- If you approach this game with the mindset of ungabunga, I think you may not like it. This game is more like a puzzle where you solve with hyper specific goals (I personally didn't have a problem and enjoyed it, some people may not though)
- Stealth missions might seem like a very elaborate form of Minesweeper sometimes. I mean it
- Does not explain itself or properly sometimes, I've went through several turns and battle restarts to understand things myself. While I lost braincells over several levels that felt like minesweeper, I didn't mind it that much though because I thought it contributed to the fun
- You WILL restart battles that took a lot of time worth of effort on certain stages if you're going in 100% blind like I did

If you like MGS, Fire Emblem, Disgaea, Xcom, and FF Tactics, this game will be a banger I prommy. I really want to say more, but I want to avoid spilling game spoilers, as much as possible

Sale or not, this game was all worth my Yuzhong Ferrari tax. The several years I waited for this game paid off and every delay was worth it. I think it's just the best to approach this game more like a puzzle

EDIT: I realized that the main composer for this game was G.K. Yes. The original G.K. who made most of older GFL OST and the music from the original Codename Bakery Girl. That's a real way to honor this game because G.K.'s music remain to be one of my all-time favorite throughout the entire franchise and my general taste in music. The only different composer was the opening, which was done by RabbitJ (mostly known for PNC)

EDIT 2: Made the review more comprehensible
