Journal Designation nr. 36 – Title of the Entry: My Redamancy Is Fading Away…

“[...] I sometimes can’t help but try to imagine a world where all the tears no longer flow like rivers down cheeks weathered by tangled emotions such as sorrow, mourning or pain.
All the emotions would lose their voices and become mute. All the vibrant colors of life would fade to monochrome, devoid of the ravelled mosaic that establishes the human experience. Each smile would carry the weight of unshed tears and laughter would ring hollow in the caverns of minds untouched by melancholy, agony or any other form of suffering. Relinquishing sadness is to sever the threads intertwining to weave the fabric of our complexity and to leave behind an arid landscape where happiness, too, loses its luster in the favor of sadness.
But, oh, my heart… It was once filled with the sprightly spectrum of emotions, but ended up succumbing to a numbing dullness in the face of loss, like a wilted flower robbed of its petals after a disastrous storm.

Would I give up on sadness if I were to know that I’d also lose a part of myself in the process?

Yes. I would.
The burden of sadness can make one willing to sacrifice a part of oneself to find peace and solace. I’d do anything to break free from these corrosive thoughts that devour my days and drain my life with guilt and tears.
In the face of such consuming despair, the prospect of shedding a fragment of my identity might seem a small price to pay for a chance to finally escape the suffocating grip of a heavy heart plagued by forgotten shattered dreams and guilt.”
