I really had high expectations, but not too high
On the other hand, PGR was also "Honkai Impact clone". I dont think either is true.
Wuthering waves after first few acts is getting much better in story department and voice acting. animations and combat system are awesome from the beginning. I think you just had too high expectations, it is not that easy and cheap to make an openworld game after all. Kuro was nearing bankrupcy at the time of release.
I am also player of pgr and I am playing wuthering waves from the launch and it is really good in many ways.
