This is game that is great with a group of friends and a steady Saturday night session. Being able to have like 4 of 5 people play each with different builds will make this game a very fun experiance. I feel like with just 1 or 2 people the late game can either be very overwhelming OR super boring depending on what you use to build your horde base.

Like most Bethesda games, It was rough on launch. But today the game is in a very stable position. The Story both in game and DLC is good. The gun play and customization is also really good. This game also works on the Steamdeck, another positive.
If the game is priced at $20-30 USD with DLC, I say go for it

I grew up with the franchise. Read the books once, married someone who watches the movies yearly. I know the material. The game is fun, combat is actually pretty good. Characters who are more than a 1 time quest hub are well written and a joy to hang out with again and again

I personally would always say wait for a sale. Die hard fans already have this game. If you are reading this you are probably someone who is interested but not a massive fan. I got it for 50% off and i would say that is a good start for where people should buy it.

I've always wanted to be a truck driver. I know there are paths and options out there for me to do so. But for as long as i have a wife who needs me at home everyday, i will be content with this game.

If you like driving and you like big machines. This game is the way. My recommendation is to play the base game, IF you enjoy it pick up a DLC pack. Don't buy everything unless you thing this game is life.

Only a few hours so far. It didn't feel like that, the story is really good. The combat reminds me more of XCOM than other CRPGs I have played. I see myself investing 50 to 60 hours easily into this game. If you like Baldur's Gate but wanted something with a bit darker of a story, I am going to recommend this.

A very well put together DnD experience

Now that the game has had time to stew. Its actually quite fun. Join up with events, kill a lot of enemies, just have fun in a wasteland that does not feel as bleak as FO3 and NV.

I like this game. But im also a fan of slow burn games. Every colony starts slow. get some resources together. Get the build chains together. make sure you have enough in production to keep up with the maintenance and consumption. Ive yet to play Below and Beyond but all of the other DLC is fantastic. If you like City-builders and production chain management games, This game is for you.

My review of New World. "the grind is real" New World is an MMO where you are thrown into the end game loop of daily/hourly questing from almost the start. The game is almost all grind. There is little to no substance to the main story quest to make it something i wish to continue or finish. The loop explained. You get a story quest. it gives you maybe 20% of a level. so you fill it with faction/town quests that can be all PVE and/or PVP if you decide. These quests end up repeating themselves quite often and tend to be kill X or collect X quests. At the Mid 20s you get the option to do your first dungeon. This dungeon is a 2 boss slogfest that can be overcome fairly quickly after your first trip through it. The Next Dungeon is 10+ levels later......That means you head back to the loop.

The game adds a fair amount of PVP and crafting but all end up being very grindy. If you are into the MMO formula go for it. But for me who has played them for so long i just cant bring myself to get back into this.

I have nothing against the game as a whole for people who are new to MMOs or looking for something to get into away from WoW or FF14. But i personally am out.

Amazon did a great job with launch, I was quite impressed actually. Stable servers, few bugs, smooth experience over all. Its an MMO> if you like them you'll like this. But after being burned out by WoW. and still having my fingers in Star Trek Online and Star Wars its just not for me.

So i have a couple thousand hours in this game from before steam. This is an MMO is a great story. 8 of them to be exact. Each story was crafted quite well. The game plays similar to WoW circa Wrath/Cata. The community is friendly for the most part.

If you do every quest for your first toon you have a 200 hour campaign till 50 maybe another 60-70 hours with the additional expansions. 95% of all quests are voice acted as well.

If you want a good story Free to play is all you need. If you plan to End game and Raid/PVP you do need to subscribe. $15 a month, standard MMO fair. The bub gives you some premium currency every month on top of unlocking all features in the game.

This is a fun game if you like MMOs 8/10. If you want a good story game (single player) id say 7/10
