It's pretty clear to me that this game is the superior version. Save some money and hard drive space by getting the original version and just use mods to scale everything up to 4K. Far more worth it than whatever garbage EA and Aspyr pushed out onto the market.

Strange enough, this game holds up even to this day.

Sure, there's a significant learning curve to the controls, but they've been refined enough to make it bearable enough to get accustomed to it. Honestly, on my first attempt playing a year ago, I didn't really see the appeal; after about a year and a half, I decided to pick it up again and give it another go and it was worth it.

This game came out before my time since I was born in the early 2000s, but this game has got some quirks you can't replicate today in modern gaming, making it a game that I find oddly charming to play in my opinion. The Gameplay gets awesome once you learn it and the story is intriguing and has a lot of depth.

Overall, I would say this is a must-play if you are willing to get over the slightly odd control scheme (Which is still much better than the old one).

If you did grow up with it like I did (I was not born in the 90s, but I did play some of it in the late 2000s), then this is a great game for you.

Otherwise, you might want to look somewhere else for a better driving experience because I feel like this is only fun for nostalgia sake and that's not bad, but the style has not aged well is one way to put it.

10/10 from me.

I have 1Gb/s internet, yet this installer limits you mostly to 20Mb/s.

It's not Microsoft Flight simulator, it's Microsoft Downloading Simulator designed to waste your time and for enough time to make the game unrefundable, essentially scamming their customers.

Microsoft: 1, Consumers: 0

Pros:
- 4 player-co-op
- Mod support (somewhat, but better than nothing)
- No DRM
- No Kernel level 0 anti-cheat spyware bs
- No bs microtransactions
- No cases/skins bs
- No NFTs or crypto-cringe
- Game actually runs and runs well
- Game runs well and doesn't require you to take out a second mortgage to buy
- Art style is the nice retro 80's videogame comic style

Cons:
- I wish big corporations selling AAA games were this good.

I have utterly no complaints for how much I paid and what I got. It's Amazing because it's not technically amazing, nor amazing in terms of features, but offers just a plain and simple fun experience with no DRM BS, no micro transactions, no DLC, no invasive anti-cheat. Just a good game that I can play and enjoy with friends.

Amazing game with amazing graphics, gameplay, and story line. However, the cliffhanger ending is pretty anti-climactic in my opinion. I won't spoil anything about the story line, but it's definitely worth a play through. Though, keep in mind, temper your expectations towards the end. It's not a terrible ending, but I believe the story could have ended a bit better. Definitely pick this one up on a sale though. I really hope the devs decide to make another one like this again sometime in the future.

Pretty great game for something so early access!

I really love the aesthetic of the game, everything looks great, but I do feel that the way things rendered feel like a cheaply implemented HD mod sometimes, but considering the price I got for ($20 CAD for 30% off) and the fact that the Devs have done some really great QOL things with the gameplay and controls. I think it's ok. Sure, there are some graphical glitches here and there, but nothing too egregious for a game like this.

A couple of cons:
- Not all binds are shown in the Input menu under settings
- Some binds can't be changed
- graphical bugs from time to time
- game breaking glitches in multiplayer, making you stuck within the level with no way to reload the level
- Lobby hosting breaks frequently, and one person trying to join whilie another is in game will break the game
- VOIP (Voice Chat) is broken and I can barely hear people even cranked up to max volume
- limited choices of maps

Here are the pros:
- no F***ing DRM bullsh*t
- No stupid anti-cheat
- Custom servers is awesome
- Server browser (Thank god this exists)
- Private and public lobby hosting
- Files available to host your own server
- Gameplay feels pretty tight and satisfying to use
- UI is fairly intuitive
- Maps that have been built are pretty beautiful and intricate
- Many fun game modes

Overall, I would say this game is pretty amazing and just needs a couple more tweaks to make it better. The game feels almost like a cross-over of F.E.A.R 2 with it's graphics, along with Escape from Tarkov gameplay which is super cool.

This game is great and I totally recommend you get it.

*EDIT: Overall, the only thing to get me to recommend this game is if they start selling it at 15-20$ CAD, $40 CAD is a high markup for a game of this calibre.

Overall, in many ways, the game is a downgrade at the same time being an upgrade.

The graphics are ok'ish. Some of the textures are really low quality, I swear a couple of the items I picked up in the game were two pixels. Animations look kind of wack and didn't improve over the first game and in some ways got worse. Don't get me started on the story, I only played the intro and that intro was so forgettable.

The Soundtrack is a complete downgrade from the very spooky and tense, but simple techno soundtrack that they featured in the first game.

Gameplay is definitely a downgrade, the controls feel like floaty garbage and the environments are not fun to play in. I can't get into the rhythm of doing parkour in this environment like the last game and this game feels like a substantial downgrade from the previous one.

All in all, just go get the first game. It was so much better.

There's no other words for this game. It F***ing sucks.

Zero customisation, copy-pasta assets everywhere with cookie cutter buildings and vehicles, a story with zero-substance and next to no inspiration.

Honestly, I decided to come back to this game because it was being sold for a fairly good price and most of the bugs that plagued the game have probably been fixed.

Both of these things are true, but sadly the game is just so cookie-cutter and bland that it's practically unenjoyable.

The settings leave much to be desired (The camera and controls just f***ing suck).

Honestly, f*** you Ubisoft.

Games like these really want me to give up gaming as a whole. So sad that games that released 10 to 20 years ago are better than the whole 5 years from 2019 to 2023 in gaming.
