It's a good cardio workout with pretty cool electronic dance music!

I loved RE2 remake. 100% achievements, and every bonus achievement unlocked... That said, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate re3. The more I play it, the more I hate it. This isn't even a game? This is a cinematic experience. Cutscene Cutscene Cutscene Cutscene! I don't normally get buyers remorse, but I haven't hated a video game purchase since Metal Gear Solid 4. Cutscene Cutscene Cutscene Cutscene. Even the Audio design is bad. How... the ♥♥♥♥...?!?! All the work was done in RE2. How can pistols and ARs sound like spitting peas out of a straw?

Edit: Game has grown on me since then. Everything I said before still stands, but it's ultimately more of what I want from the franchise. I don't want them to ever return to tone in RE5 and RE6. I now look at RE3 as a standalone DLC to the infinitely superior RE2.

Coming from someone who can beat Doom 2016 on Nightmare difficulty, it took awhile to click with the pace of Eternal. There's a lot to wrap your head around too. Once everything clicked with my squishy mortal brain, the combat system became very satisfying. It's hard to imagine I'll be going back to Doom 2016 any time in the near future.

I really like this game! I've been waiting since 2016 when I got the HTC Vive, but the wait was worth it!

HL:A needs a couple performance tweaks and feature. Also, I hope they add these features: 1) running (instead of just walking and teleporting), 2) on the fly weapon hand switching, 3) removable weapon mods. I spent resin on the pistol's holosight, and I forgot how much I dislike holosights. I started the game over from Chapter 5 because I really want to use the normal gun sights.

SteamVR app was a mess in 2016. It's still a mess, albeit slightly prettier one. The menu options and arrangements make absolutely no sense. Stupid crap like render resolution will be under general and video categories. Why so many settings that do the same thing? Advanced super sampling filtering, but no explanation. It doesn't even explain which settings override which! Simplify the process for users, and explain each setting on the side somewhere in the interface... not just in an faq.

I haven't played multiplayer yet, but I wouldn't want to given how much of an unpolished experience I'm having with the campaign.

Video:
- Stuttering gameplay with vsync/gsync on and off with fps well above monitor's refresh rate.
- No adjustable video settings other than "enhanced". Looks pretty terrible, but I wouldn't care about lack of settings if the
damn thing performed well.

Audio:
- Mix is just terrible. Voices in cut scenes are way too loud. Voices and game play sounds are muffled and congested.
- No dynamic range and no separation of channels.
- Can't localize where sources are in the world.
