Skullgirls got off to a very rocky start when it initially launched, but since then the content and polish of the game has swollen massively. While the original Skullgirls release was panned for being a very barebones and noticeably unfinished game, the Encore rerelease is without a doubt a complete package now, featuring amazing GGPO netcode integration, one of the most robust training modes in any fighter, excellent beginner tutorials (I could write a whole thing on the overheads tutorial and how good it is) and an obscenely well balanced spread of characters.
There are some issues to nitpick, like the minimal single player options and some higher level features not being mentioned in tutorials, but the overall package is more than worth the €15 price tag.
