This is sitting in my steam library next to Starfield, under the list, games I regret buying but cannot get a refund for. This game was boring, it looked good, but it had no substance. I played for 10 hours and couldn't even play it out of guilt for money spent. This game does not deserve GOTY, and the 3 million players that were playing at launch were bots to build more hype so people bought this CCP garbage. The game is actually mid.

SBMM. I had fun for the first 9 hours that I played, until I started noticing how rigged everything felt. The last straw for me was winning 5 hardfought games back to back. Next game we get stomped in a matter of 2 minutes in the first round, I look at the scoreboard; I am the only one with kills and healing, nobody else has a single kill, damage blocked, or any healing. I quit out, I run to do a quick google search. This game has SBMM. You will have your good matches, you will have games against bots, you will have your hardfought wins, you will have close losses, and you will get stomped. At the end of the day it all feels a lot less rewarding when it's all rigged in the first place.

I didn't really play the original Path of Exile, the skill tree made it feel like it was too late to jump in. But, man... I gave POE 2 a shot, and it is seriously scratching a part of my brain in a way that I absolutely love. I will provide an update once I have put in more hours.

Phenomenal in VR too!

I have a good machine: i9 13900k/4070. For whatever reason every cutscene not rendered in the game engine is laggy and glitchy with audio cutting in and out. EA must stand for Early Access, because damnnear every full game they release feels incomplete.

The reviews are mixed because half of y'all can't git gud. Elden Ring 2 has been an amazing experience: it's huge, it's beautiful, it sounds great, bosses are hard, a whole lot of new items. My only complaint is the amount of upgrade materials you find throughout the world; it's disheartening to see a legendary item in the distance and when you get to it, its just a max level upgrade material. The verticallity of the map has been my favorite part, again, the map is massive. Great job Fromsoft, and please don't nerf.
