There are a few bugs and glitches, but Evangeline has a neat mechanic, a great heart, and some hilarious unintentional physics. Also the best 80's house I've ever seen, as well as the best bookshelf. If you like short simple games and sappy love stories, I highly recommend.

Despite a very rushed and mediocre third act, Child of Light is a thoroughly beautiful game.

And can we talk about the unsung hero who had to translate the game? Every piece of dialogue is in couplets, and it was some poor bastard's job to translate all of these to a different language, and still keep them rhyming.

Brilliant job, mate. Whoever you are. Brilliant job.
