It is called The Ancient Gods Part 1 because "The Beating of Your Life Part 1" was too explicit.

Where to begin... Ah yes, the end of the campaing in Doom Eternal, the Icon of Sin dead an all that. Yeah, lore expansion here is pretty cool not gonna lie, but in GAMEPLAY. They went from the skill level of that final level and still turned the dial up from there. Turn it HARD. So it goes like this: First Map leaves you with the "I need a cigarette" feeling, second map is like "Alright, heat is pretty up already", and the third map, The Holt, will leave you like you just wrestled a bear. A Demonic Bear, with augmentations and ♥♥♥♥, with your bare hands. Yeah...

Why do I recommend this? 20€, or 30€ with the season pass, is pretty money for some. The majority of the negative reviews say that the difficulty is TOO F****** MUCH, and reading them I almost backpedaled. But what is Doom without the challenge? So the Ancient Gods punished me like a mean mistress and I LOVED IT! Every second of it, even in the last stage when my face was burning with rage at the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that the game threw at me, it pushed me hard to be a better Slayer, and boy o boy it succedes at it. If you can finish the ancient gods you will immediately notice the improvements on your gameplay.

So, like I said, I like the challenge, and this DLC is challenge in your face balls to the wall, you think you are a good Slayer? Then subject yourself to The Ancient Gods!
