the update wasnt great but the chapter itself is good

After playing Half Life 1 parallel to Black Mesa, I would consider this the definitive version and an excellent remaster.

I received my costumes instantly

The fact that we get a unique battle royale with a battle pass and very few micro-transactions (the only currency you can buy is readily available) in 2020 is more surprising than anything else this year has thrown at us. The game is fun, and refreshingly casual for being a battle royale. Although I use that word lightly since there are plenty of minigames that you respawn infinitely in, so its not your typical BR. Anyway I only play because the beans are cute and I like playing dress up.

With the everything they have released this is actually a pretty good online rpg, and in the few main quests I have completed I was surprised to see some decent story writing compared to what had been in the game previously. I even found myself getting invested in some of the story arcs, however, it falls prey to one of the biggest problems in many rpgs, illusion of choice. I have not had a single quest (that I'm aware of) where a choice I was given had any impact on the relationships or situation, which makes it very difficult not to just skip through all dialogue options and just focus on the leveling up process.

This, on top of the many other issues, still makes this game very hard to recommend to a Fallout fan. Go play Fallout ! and 2 first if you really need a new Fallout experience, you may need a online guide for parts but I highly recommend them.
