When I first bought this game (pre- horizons) there wasn't much going on. The universe is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ massive, but I quickly lost attention.

I found an old Saitek x52 in a pawn shop for $20 and came back with the DLC and HOLY ♥♥♥♥ is this game incredible. The combination of having 'realistic' space ship flight controls makes flying and battles a breeze. It's great, I love it. My favorite part is that you can get as involved with it as you want. You can be a pirate and gank people for their loot, assassinating targets and blowing up ships as you go along, or you can trade and explore and be a space trucker.

Great game, but you really should get a cheap used x52 off ebay to enjoy this game fully.
