Only a few hours into this. What's really wild about this is that I just found it randomly while browsing the sales. It's honestly crazy how many wonderful indie games are hidden within the steam store. It truly is an amazing platform.

With all that said, this game blew me away. I expected, if anything, just another mediocre arcade racer. This game stands out as not only one of the best arcade racers I have ever played, but finding it out of no where and expecting nothing and then experiencing one of the best is really a high I find better than drugs.

The art style to this game is right in my portfolio of aesthetic. It's bright neon lights, smooth edges, cell shaddy retro just goes all out. It's catered to the JDM widebody style cars as opposed to the often, super cars. This arcade even has a story mode where you can play through several different characters. It's not a ground breaking story, but its something. For an arcade racer I found on sale for $7 that has a story mode is kinda mind blowing to me.

On top of all that... You use both thumb sticks to drift. It's thee most fun I've ever had. It's awkward at first, but super easy to pick up. After a few races you'll be surprised how addicting it is. The left stick pretty much just keeps the car drifting in the lane/line you want, while the right stick controls how much you drift. Mix this with proper braking and throttle pressure you can essentially drift entire laps continuously. It really is quite unique.

If you like arcade racers and you're into jdm, rgb and drifting then I strongly reconnected this game. If you can get it on sale it will probably be the best $7.99 you have ever spent. Even at $20, knowing what I know now. I would still buy it at full retail price.

This is one of my favorite under rated games. It's cemented itself in history as another cult classic.

I remember renting this in my early 20's and being blown away by how raw and savage it was. I mean, this was before mainstream GTA V's, Trevor. At the time, I had not heard of the first one. So the characters of Kane and Lynch were new to me and I thought both were fascinating characters.

The aesthetic of this game is absolutely perfect. Everything you see is done on purpose and being done the way it was design to do. This is where the game truly stands out. There is not a single game out there then, or today that has matched what this game has matched, aesthetically. This game has gotten alot of flack about the camera bobbing, shaking and how it feels like a low budget documentary at times. That is exactly what they wanted and I guess I'm one of the few who enjoyed it.

This game is hard af however. Controls are clunky, Shooting is absolutely wild, AI is unforgiving. There is a massive learning curve to this game, especially today in a sea of regurgitated, rinse and repeat games.

The game does have flaws. Story is wild and all over the place, lack of gun variety, enemies, single player content. Buuuuuuuuuuuut, the multiplayer is still a thing and lets not forget co-op and SPLIT SCREEN CO-OP.

the state of ubisoft is just so sad at this point. one could arguably say that ubi was once the goat in the industry with some pretty solid games in their portfolio. However they have dissolved into one of the biggest disgraces to ever step foot into gaming. With multiple scandals, bad work environments, delays, cancellations, and even more pathetic.. signing some shady, corny deal with epic to put games exclusively on their piss poor excuse of a client in some feeble attempt to somehow over throw steams crown. idk what's sadder tho. the fact they thought it was a good idea or the fact they came crawling back to steam with their games 80-90% off. watch dogs legion comes out here in a couple weeks. wonder when farcry 6 will join the list of shame.

It really is such a shame too because at the end of the day, these games are good. Just so f***ing sad.

Played this back in 2009 on the 360 and it came out of no where. Probably one of the best games I played on the 360. Pretty good port imo as well. Easily played with keyboard and mouse.

This classic is a timeless masterpiece.
