This is a great game, man. 20th-century Russian culture for the win. Bonus: the contemporary music is really, really cool.

Um, this is one of my favorite games of all time. It's a good thing he's not still adding to it because I might not ever play anything else. I'm from the Atari/arcade generation, and I tell you, this is one of the great games. I don't mean of this era or of this type or of this theme or category or w/e. No, I mean that this is one of the GREAT GAMES. Pac Man. Wolfenstein 3D. The Binding of Isaac. Hollow Knight. This game is that good. I fully expect to be trying to beat my own scores five, ten, twenty years from now. Unless homie makes a sequel or something that's somehow better, this is going to be an always-installed for me.

Um, this was a great game! I liked the puzzles, as such, which were built on exploring and thinking and didn't hold your hand too much, but which rewarded rational thought. I liked the science, the old-school sci-fi-ness of it, what is sometimes called speculative fiction. I liked the gameplay. People keep comparing it to and weighing it against the old Star Control II -- which is appropriate -- but I actually liked this game better, myself. I'd have liked to see more dimensionality to it, like more reasons to explore the other weaponry, more challenging opponents ... honestly just MORE, but I was also ready for it to be done when it was. I think I would've wanted to hang around more if it weren't as linear as it was (which wasn't an awful amount at all; it was a classic, traditional PC gamekind of linear). This was a lot of fun and I had a great two months of gaming on it. Fkn two thumbs up from me.

Only a bit through my first playthrough and just changed ages. Dude this shiz is super fun. Way less micromanagement. Far more decision-making. War is more fun. Peace is more fun. Dunno what people were griping about. I love this edition so far. Will revise my review later.

Extremely well-written. Unique. Gross. Visceral. Play it.

This game is proof that there's beauty in pure challenge. Nobody can complain it's unfair. Nobody can say it's glitchy. Much like chess or go or other if/then games, the only way to succeed is to learn and understand. Good on you for persisting, gamers, and good on you, CroTeam, for giving us another glorious mountain to conquer.

Art's great. Story's fun. Like an old white man, it's neither hard nor long, but it's a labor of love and it shows.

Dopamine-addiction game, like Candy Crush or Warcraft but without the gameplay. I tried to finish this one because of the crazy-high Steam rating to see if in the end this was really all there was — that the thing you do in the beginning is legit the same thing you do throughout — but I just couldn't. It just wasn't fun enough, not even to do it for completion's sake. Why do so many people like it so much? They're addicted and it doesn't challenge anyone.

Find three things on a timer. Bring back. Build thing. Go find 6 different things now on a longer timer. Bring back. Build new thing. Go find 12 things on a longer timer, further away. Scenery changes.

If this sounds super awesome, you're frickin' stoked as hell because there's prolly fifty+ hours in here of it, and a lot of that is guaranteed because your progress is on a timer, too.

27 hours, still trying to care.

If Elder Scrolls VI is this formulaically phoned-in, I'll walk away from Bethesda permanently.

I don't know how or why I didn't hear about this game when it came out, and I fail to understand how or why I had to hear about it from a filtered search on the Steam store, but holy shizzle this game is the neutron bomb. Do you miss arcade replayability? Do you like roguelite unlocks? Do you appreciate the glory of a high score? Do you love great chiptunes? Are 8-bit graphics your jam? Are gameplay and challenge important to you? This is one of the best games I've played in years. I hope it's really long. It can't be, because that would make it so good I'd need to completely reassess my understanding of the Steam store and start searching for everything I want rather than expecting to hear about it from the community, but even if it's just going to last me a month or two, it's completely worth my 20 dollars. More like this, please, world.
