Don't listen to the entitled PC Gamers who get butt hurt they have to turn a setting two. The game is excellent. Performance isn't the best (with a 4070 at 1440p i get about 45fps with framegen and dlss) but I expect that to improve over time.

As for the game itself, it heavily reminds me of two games that I hold dear - Forza Horizon 1 and Midnight Club LA. While it isn't exactly like either, its hitting similar notes. For those like myself who disliked the direction Horizon took after the first game (it became less of a game with a nice progression system and more of a "just drive what you want" after Horizon 1) I think you will really get some enjoyment out of this game.

Maybe one day PC Gamers will learn that you aren't entitled to 120+fps with your 5 year old GPUs.

I usually don't mind stutter but it is VERY bad in this game. Which is a shame because everything else is charming. But don't buy it until they fix the stutter.

how have i put 30 hours into this game already

i dont even like looter shooters

dont listen to the people who ♥♥♥♥♥ cuz its not arkham. I never liked the arkham games so this is probably why i enjoy this so much.

its a very fun game, a mix of sunset overdrive and agents of mayhem.

price: $5.99

why you should check it out: Dino Run DX is a charming little endless runner that gives you the right balance of challenge, customization and addictive "just one more run" gameplay to make this truly a gem in the rough.

why you should NOT check it out: steam deck support is kind of wonky. it "works" but menus and navigation are a exercise in extinction.

steam deck compatible: yes

why you should check it out: imagine wipeout but on pc. custom soundtracks and more mods make this dream quite the reality. game plays like a dream on steam deck and the racing at its core is just sublime. theres a mode to emulate the graphics of psx era wipeout also that is chefs kiss.

why you should NOT check it out: i see a review about the community possibly being problematic. i personally never have had to interact with the community in all my hours of playing the game so take of that what you will

why you should check it out:
a loving tribute to a 16 bit classic. the game plays like a mix of nfl blitz with the attitude of duke nukem. its certainly odd, yet a grand old time. developers still support the game years after release.

why you should NOT check it out:
some cringey of-the-time dialogue and the game ultimately lacks the in depth modes. cutscenes, while funny, occur a bit too often.

why you should check it out:
a world war 1 immersive sim that takes place in a french bunker. imagine alien isolation but in a underground bunker. sound design is excellent and there is workshop support.

why you should NOT check it out:
if the following sentence doesn't make you want to try it out then move along: you are equipped with only a wind-up flashlight and need to hide from a sound detecting monster. also the game has some frustrating systems and a punishing saving system.

This game has its faults, but it's pretty dang good.

Imagine if you took the DeVry University fake video game CGI look and applied it to World of Warcraft. That's basically this game and it owns.

The main problems I have with it:
1. Too much loot. Maybe that's more of a personal issue but I think there's just wayyyyy too much.
2. The first dungeon is pretty confusing and there isn't much guidance as to what to do. Make sure you use your beacons to remember where you went.

The music seems out of place also with the more....whimsical look of the creatures but thats easily solved by shutting it off and playing your own.

Game runs great on the Steam Deck also.

Check it out!

I don't write reviews. I also do not like the beat em up revival that has happened as I don't think they actually capture what beat em ups were like back in the day.

However, Double Dragon Gaiden nails it. It feels good to play. Feels responsive. It's challenging but not impossible.

Get it.
