Discount Castle Crashers. Same basic concept, but with less depth, and Castle Crashers wasn't a deep game to begin with. I quickly learned to stop trying for combos and just smash a single button because that would perma-stagger enemies and lead to the most efficient win. The super moves are a nice addition but I still uninstalled before completing. If you want a dumb buttonsmasher this could scratch that itch, but that's all I'd recommend it for.

An improvement on the first game in almost every way. An interesting continuation of the story, higher stakes, and more interesting combat. If you like tactical gameplay, meaningful choices, interesting plot, and gorgeous art and music, this is a must play.

Well written, fun plot, good pacing. It's a choose your own adventure game so if you're not a fan of that genre there's nothing here for you really. My only real gripe is that there is no way to backtrack or save states, which means you need to start from the very begining from each divergant path, and I just can't be bothered to do that.

Great plot, voice acting, and animation. Gameplay is pretty much just multiple choice but it's still fun.
