Easily my favorite co-op game at the moment.

Extemely enjoyable gameplay loop with a big variety of class and weapon options + overclocks.

Amazing community that makes playing with randoms not only tolerable but a positive experience.

Fantastic (and ethical!) dev team who are good at preserving the game and understanding how to make it more interesting without destroying the core of it.

Stylized polygonal graphics offer both a unique artstyle that looks enjoyable, and very non-demanding harware requirements that allow the game to run as smooth as butter even on outdated machines.

I've deleted my recent negative review, and it's time to write a justifiably positive one.

Helldivers 2 is a fantastic game that allows players to have something that is surprisingly scarce in today's gaming industry - pure unadultered fun.

By taking the good parts of the first game and making notes of the good things their market competitors were able to do (looking at you, DRG), Arrowhead studio was able to make a perfect fusion that ended up being a fresh and original game with solid gameplay that is a unique mesh between top-down and third-person shooters. It looks amazing, plays amazing, and has justifiably gained the hearts of the masses.

Of course, this game is not without i's negatives - it's somewhat grindy, somewhat buggy, and for the moment lacks end-game long-term content. Yet, I am excited for the future of this game, and I hope that the issues will be corrected or at the very least negated, as the positives even today greatly outweigh the negatives, and I am willing to trust that those issues won't become constant frustrations as time progresses, as the developer will adress them in due time.

During recent events with Sony, the developer has made it clear where they stand and has earned my respect. It's confirmed now that they're invested in their game success, and, most imporantly, genunely love their game and want it to thrive and be loved by the people.

Of course, time will tell, but currently this looks like the beginning of a blossoming relationship between Arrowhead and their community. I'll be happy to be a part of it.
