I only barely give this game a thumbs up.
It is almost exactly what it says on the tin. An adventure puzzle game like classic Legend Of Zelda games.
But that's it.
Perhaps I read too much into it, that there would be an interesting story behind the guidebook secrets, and the reason the world exists in its current state.
But in reality the guidebook just acts as a vehicle for introducing metroidvania mechanics, with minimal interesting story beats.
There are certainly plenty of puzzles, but a lot of them can be vague to the point of frustrating, rather than interesting.
If you like classic Legend of Zelda games or Metroidvania games, this is for you.
If you like story puzzle games, not so much.
