TL;DR AT THE BOTTOM.

I've played all the Mother games, and I'm a big fan of these types of RPG's in general. After almost a decade, I can say this with utmost certainty: Undertale is my favorite game of all time, and I'm going to convince you why it'll be yours too.

*THERE WILL BE NO STORY SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW*

**I. THE WORLD**

Whew. Where do I even start?

If you've played the Mother games, the overworld-exploration type style is similar. You go at your own pace exploring, solving puzzles, finding out where to go and what to do. There's humorous, quirky, and fun side-content pretty much everywhere!

One of the most important parts of this game is that it never forgets the bonds you make, the friendships you forge. Every single character is unexplicably lovable, from your Goat-Mom-Toriel to the pun-making Sans the skeleton! But if you decide to kill any bosses, the game will remember it: and you will pay (emotionally).

**II. BATTLES, AND THE PATHS YOU CAN TAKE WITH THEM**

The battles are very interesting - each monster you fight seems somewhat troubled. Ranging from dogs that can't pet each other to froggits considering their life choices, it's up to you whether you want to help them.

So in the battles, you don't have to fight at all. "But Blie! You said this was like Mother, where's my PK Love?!" I hear you cry, as you turn your head to your desk-side framed photo of Lucas, shedding a single tear on top of your Ness amiibo. Well now, you CAN fight, but if you feel any emotion at all in your life, you WON'T.

When an enemy attacks, you find yourself inside a white box. You control a heart with the arrow keys, and you have to dodge attacks that inflict damage on you in real time. Simple enough.

So what can YOU do? You have four menu options. First of all, FIGHT. Pretty self-explanatory, you use your equiped weapon to fight the enemy. Of course, as this is an RPG, you have an ITEMS section. Next, we have ACT. THIS, THIS IS HOW YOU PLAY UNDERTALE. Once you figure out how you can help the monster, or convince them to befriend you, ACT gives you a variety of choices of how to behave around this monster. Example: Woshua loves to clean. You can either shout at him, or ask him to clean you. If he cleans you, and you survive, you can use the winning option: SPARE. By sparing a monster, you mutually decide you don't want to fight, and let each other survive as friends. Of course you could also just kill it... but is that really your objective?

III. Story/Execution

I promised I wouldn't give any spoilers away, so I'll do my best to convey this section as well as I can. Throughout this game you will forge many bonds with the characters, and it's up to you how you manage these confrontations. I will say that the ending does change based on how you manage battles with monsters.

Besides that, each character is impressively well-developed, and every single area of the game has the quirky humor of the Mother games (yeah, I mentioned those again) that will make you smile at every little secret you find.

IV. Soundtrack

OOOOOOOOH YES. There's a reason you have the option to purchase this soundtrack alone: I will be humming these tunes for years to come. This is some of the best music I've ever heard, and don't be surprised if you see me listening to them in any music-less situation. If you enjoy the Mother games and really intense 8-bit orchestras, invest in the soundtrack bundle. It's worth every penny.

TL;DR:

The overworld is handled similarly to traditional RPGs, with humorous secrets and puzzles everywhere!

The battles can be handled in two ways: you can fight like a traditional RPG, or ACT in order to convince the enemy that you should be friends instead. Try to guess which gives the better outcome. ;)

The story is one that, with the best ending, will make you cry as much as you did at the end of Mother 3. That alone should tell you how on-par this is with the famous big-name RPGs.

This game has one of the best soundtracks I've EVER HEARD. The music is so fitting to every situation: from calming violin solos in the winter to epic stuff like THESE: http://youtu.be/YTy9v9a7Tmo https://youtu.be/NdS_rEzAFhc

I should also mention that this game is currently the highest-rated PC game OF ALL TIME on Metacritic, with a score of 97/100 just beating Half-Life 2's 96/100! This is for good reason: Undertale will definitely leave a strong impact on you if you enjoy RPG's with spectacular stories.

I can't bring myself to give this game anything less than a 10/10. Every core quality of it is flawless, and it's bumped games like Xenoblade and The Binding of Isaac right out of the battle for 1st place of my favorite games. Buy Undertale, and experience Undertale: you won't regret it.

The amount of effort and love put into Evoland 2 is what makes it stand out from any other game. The game focuses around a time mechanic, where you travel through time to change the future, but each era's appearance corresponds with a graphical advancement in video game history. The past is 8bit, but the future is 3D. The best part, though, is that Evoland 2 wraps together literally dozens of different types of games, ranging from rhythm to Street Fighter, shoot-em-up to Streets of Rage. Put all these elements together, along with a stunning soundtrack and a compelling story, and you've got Evoland 2.

Early Access Review
After playing the original flash game a number of years ago, all I could recall were extremely fond memories of upgrading my character and anticipating what the visual of the next upgrade would be. But Super Chibi Knight adds a whole new perspective on this, with much more of these awesome upgrades, mounts, quests, secret areas, and adorable voice acting from the developer's eight year old daughter. In addition to the awesome gameplay mechanic, different open-world areas, and an awesome element of "go wherever you want, do anything you care", Super Chibi Knight is a must-get.

Risk of Rain is an amazing game that will keep you occupied for hours. Its great fun to just slaughter herds of enemies, and the pixel art is spectacular. The game can also be extremely hard, like when you reach the difficulties "I SEE YOU" and "IM COMING FOR YOU" and lets not forget the final difficulty, "HAHAHAHA"!

Amazing game, great puzzles and an amazing platformer. FEZ forces you to think before you jump, and shows that there are 3 other ways you can make that one jump.
