Good game and decent time.

I don't think much of it will stick with you after a playthrough, but if all you're looking for is to turn your mind off and your fun on, it should serve you well.

The story and writing and characters are overly-sentimental without depth to back it. If you're into the squishy side of positivity, then maybe it will be for you. The gameplay is sufficient enough to warrant a playthrough. You could go hard into the paint in terms of wanting to speedrun or perfect that base gameplay.

However, that requires an initial passion for the game—which I do not have.

This might be a strange thing to say: but I would suggest playing Katana Zero instead.
