+ Constant hours of fun depending on your imagination
+ Many game modes to have fun with such as Trouble in Terrorist Town, Prop hunt, Murder, and many more!
+ A whole planet's worth full of addons that change the game such as adding new tools, weapons, NPCs, Vehicles and more!
+ Full customization of your avatar ranging from Playermodels to physgun colors
+ The ability to mount any Source game such as TF2, Half-Life, Portal and Left 4 dead so you can use the mounted game's content in Gmod!
+ Appeal to all audiences ranging from Corridor FPS players, Animators, and Builders

Cons
- Painfully long loading times
- Constant crashes and freezes
- Bugs that will drive you up the wall
- Online community can and WILL be filled with jerks
- As stated above, the amount of fun you have is entirely dependant on your imagination
- Is not a standalone game and needs The Orange Box and Counter Strike: Source in order to run

Verdict
All in all, Gmod is an amazing game, but not without it's flaws. But even so, it is a must have for any Steam user. I give this game a solid 8/10.
