I thought I would only play this game with a friend of mine, which would happen maybe once or twice a week. I soon found myself loading up solo missions every day, while I waited for the next time my friend was available to play. I now have over 100 hours, and will probably put in a 100 more. There is a lot of passion and love put into this game, and honestly should be an example of what multiplayer games should strive to be in this day and age. 10/10 would Rock and Stone again.
Still playing in 2023!

It's easy to label a game as simply a genre. Dead Cells is a roguelike. A platformer. An RPG. A beat-em-up. It's many things. Much like the protagonist you play as it's the culmination of a lifetime of gaming genres all mashed into one that keeps getting refined and improved upon not only by its very hardworking and talented developers but the ingenuity of its design. A game I will take with me on a deserted island for the rest of my life. A game I want all other games to aspire to. A game that can be labeled, but shouldn't be. Dead Cells is Dead Cells. If you like video games and the act of playing one to satisfy whatever it is you enjoy from gaming, then Dead Cells is a must-play.

One of my favorite ongoing co-op games. Love the updates to the mechanics and characters we keep getting and love the cooperative world building the game offers. Will always keep coming back to this one.

One of the great modern beat 'em ups slash metroidvania slash love letter to lucha libre, Mexican culture and indie gaming. There is a to love about Guacamelee if you are a fan of any of those things I've mentioned.

When Arkham Asylum came out, it set the bar extremely high for comic book video games. 10 years later, still holds up and is still one of the best comic book video games of all time.

My entry for the "Test of Time" category for the Steam Awards. Since it was first released, I've played this game once or twice a year. I never get tired of the story. I never get bored of the puzzles since they feel new every time (mainly because I have a terrible memory). Whenever I hear a friend of mine has yet to play this amazing game, I always jump at the oppurtunity to invite them over and have them play. I never thought I would always keep coming back to this game as much as I do, yet here we are.

It's a modern day take on Breakout. If you have fun playing Breakout style games, you'll have fun playing this. The main hook about this game is the suck and blow mechanics (calm yourself). You can suck and blow the pellets you shoot, giving you further control over the direction they go. There are powerups, spherical levels, etc. It's Breakout with a lot of modern advancements, and it's fun to play.

This game is similar to most other open world LEGO games: it doesn't deviate too much from the formula, a lot of "been there done that" moments, and trying to 100% can be a little tedious. But if you are a fan of Marvel comics you will really enjoy this game. There is a ton of content that the casual to the most hardcore Marvel comic book fan will appreciate. References range from the most recent Marvel movies to obscure and almost forgotten storylines or characters.

Visually it is one of the best looking LEGO games I've played. NYC is faithfully recreated in LEGO form, there are dozens of characters to unlock and they all have unique ways to play, the music is top notch, the jokes and physical gags are really funny, and there is a lot more missions to play beyond the story. Also, there's a lot of Stan Lee, and the more of him the better. It's a really fun game, don't let the LEGO bricks fool you.

If you are a little burned out by the LEGO series, then really there isn't a whole lot of new things here to entice you. But if you are a fan of Marvel, you should play this game as it's one of the best comic book games around. If you never played any LEGO games, I can't think of a better one to start with.

If DeathSpank has anything to offer, it is charm. And orphans. It's a simple action slash RPG game that does all the heavy lifting for you. All the armor and weapons you receive upgrade automatically, and really the only effort you need to maintain your inventory is making sure you have enough space for everything. There are a lot of side-quests but mostly all of them are pretty simple and straightforward, and aren't really necessary in completing the game. This is a funny game with an outrageous plot and wacky characters, so it just wants you to sit back and have a good time. It's not trying to be more than what it is, and it knows that. I recommend playing the game on Hard if you want some sort of challenge, reading every dialogue option to get the most out of the humor in the game, and to take your time. You can get all the achievements in one play through and it's really all you need.

Why would you play video game poker? By yourself? Because of the hilarious and charming AI, of course! And I don't just mean GlaDOS. The whole cast is funny and delightful, enough so you might not even get so upset when they keep beating you on the river. Okay you might still get upset, but hey, it's not real money! They added some nifty table felt and card designs unique to each character, and that in turn also unlocks additional cut-scenes. Also you can play Omaha! Finally! (I actually didn't know that game type existed before this game). It's not a full blown Poker sim and if you wanted a really good Poker experience close to what you find in real life there are other games that do it better. But you won't be playing with people as fun to be around with as these four, I guarantee that much.
