Nekopara is a cheerful slice-of-life story about you and the two catgirls who tagged along when you decide to leave the family business to pursue your career in cake making. Beautifully drawn and coupled with the animations and voice acting makes it one of the best presented VN's I've ever played.

The plot isn't really there plus around chapter 5, it starts to feel like a porno (as in 'my-cat-is-in-heat-and-the-only-way-to-help-her-is-to-get-it-on-and-not-read-the-pet-care-book-i-bought-a-few-chapters-ago'). However, the characters are interesting and the sprinkle of humor and cuteness through the game is enough to make you keep clicking forward. Also, small references.

Gameplay wise, it's linear,there are no branching choices at all. You can replay previous conversations (as in replaying the sound) but not 'reverse' back to a previous scene. No option to start at different chapters. You can hide the text box to view the scene better though.

Music is nice and comfy. Fits the cheerful theme of the game very well.

Overall, the game is like a cake. It's sweet and fluffy, but it's not very filling.

Extra notes:
- Twins don't mind sharing.
- It can be played with a controller, but once the game starts there is no button to access the menu.
- Vanilla is best

The only thing criminal about this game is how short it was.

Nekopara is a well made VN, the facial animaitions, voice work, cute characters, and bgm makes it feel like you're really in one of those various Japanese cartoons.

Plotwise, it seems very generic. Since the Steam version will most likely censor everything, the story WILL have to make up for it.

The listed price on the official site is 4000 JPY (physical copy)...so I would guess the game to be priced around $30 on release.

The standard of pixelated run and gun, Metal Slug 3 is a bundle of good music, solid gameplay and one of the most beautifully detailed and animated pixels on the planet.

A bit short, mostly because your no longer set back by a lack of tokens, but the branching paths and various hidden bonuses will add a little extra mileage (aside from trying to finish it again with less death).

The port itself is decent, it supports local and online co-op, infinite continues mode, leaderboards and a gallery.

However, there are a few areas where your frame rate will noticeably drop.

Overall:
Do I recommend playing it - YES
Do I recommend the steam version - Not at $8.

Wait for sales or pick up Metal Slug Anthology for the PSP instead.

The boobs are nice. Girls are cute. The slime girls come in multiple colors.

Unfortunately, that's about it.

Story isn't interesting, music is average at best. I was hoping for voice overs at least.

You can probably get the same experience from just watching preview images on the store page.

Bioshock: Inifinite takes everything great about the first 2 games and chucks it down a garbage chute. Generic enemies, 2 weapon limit, boring vigors.

Everything in this game is at least 5 steps back from its predecessors.

It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ version of terraria, in space. Game gets pretty dull quickly.

Spend your money else where.

Proteus is a beautifully created simulation, however, it is easily dwarfed by it's rival, Outside.

While its interactive sounds and vibrant colors are a nice addition, the limited controls, and the fact that there isn't anything you can actually do within severelay damages what could have been a masterpiece. Outside has a better range of controls, supports multiplayer, and has greater variation in the folliage and creatures rendered.

Don't play proteus. Play Outside instead.
