Wow, what a remarkable game! To think this came out on the Super Famicom... No wonder they didn't bring it to the United States. The story is so dark that it never would have flown over here. If you have a soft spot for tragedy, along the lines of Final Fantasy Tactics, you'll love this game. Incredible.

Early Access Review
Monks brewing beer makes a beautiful management business. The art is charming and it's fun managing Ale Abbey. A pint of St. Lucy Light for all!

I love the lore of Eora and I'm enjoying exploring the Living Lands. It has a color palette reminiscent of Chrono Cross, which was one of my favorites. So many games are dark and drab, it's nice to be running around a tropical paradise with waterfalls and dense plant-life. Such a refreshing change! So far, it has some of the best 1st Person combat that I've experienced in a game. I'm playing on the hardest difficulty, so I need to be very strategic and use all the tools at my disposal. I'm having a blast! Highly recommend.

A very thought-provoking game, but rather depressing. I wish more games would creatively approach the topic of faith and mental-illness.

To everyone complaining about the frequency of random battles, I have a tip for you: use Holy Water or the Padfoot ability when you are exploring.

I love this game. I played most of it on cross-country flights on my Steam Deck, and it has been flawless. I'm on the verge of entering the final castle to fight the boss before the credits, and it's been a joy to replay this classic.

A short, but very enjoyable puzzle game. I used 3 hints to get to the credits in 2 hours, and I kind of regret doing so, as I'm sure I would have eventually figured them out. So, I encourage you to resist the hints (even though they're done with incredible elegance!) and puzzle it out yourself to make it last longer than 2 hours. In the end, I really enjoyed it. Nice work!

Runs like butter on the Steam Deck, which is what I've played on so far, locked to 60fps at highest settings. The text is easy to read, so I don't know why it's not fully verified. Save games are able to be loaded even when I'm in Offline Mode, so it'll be great to play on the plane.

I like the story. There's a lot of cut scenes (which can all be skipped if you're not interested), but I think they did a great job with the voice acting so far. I enjoy all the different accents and different ways of speaking.

There are 526 different monsters to catch, synthesize, and hatch from eggs, so I'll be busy for a long time. The creativity and charm of the Dragon Quest monsters, mostly (all?) designed by Akira Toriyama are best-in-class for monster catching games.

On Steam Deck, it plays great so far. With everything maxxed it's 60fps. If you have the OLED, you can get 90fps by turning things down.

I played the Switch version, but I love the fact that on PC I can swap between controller for running around gathering and mouse and keyboard for building. All you have to do is zoom out and click on all the squares you want to build/destroy with your mouse cursor. So smooth compared to the console version where you have to run around and jump and press the button at just the right time to get the right height, try and attack just right to get rid of the block you don't want, etc.

Finally, a puzzle game where the story is just as thought-provoking as the puzzles!
